Sorry that this was not the cruise they expected, however you have no idea what Mother Nature is going to do. Glad everyone is safe, that is what is important. We deal with weather too except it is snow

98 days until the Vista. When do you cruise??

Never had a Guy's burger, so this is an honest question as regularly see folks on this board recommend on ship or line vs the other on this issue alone. To me, the cost difference in cost between my favorite burger (at Texas Roadhouse) and my least favorite (A comparably sized burger at McDonald's) is about 5 bucks.
Even if I chose a burger for a meal twice on a 7 day, that's 10 bucks. Is there something special about the atmosphere?

OMG they are the best!!!:D

The rule where they make you get off the ship at the end of the ctuise :D

I am traveling with my 75-year-old mother and need to purchase travel insurance. What company have you used that you like? I need something that if she falls or something happens in a foreign country, it will pay to have her brought home. I am not sure whether to purchase it through Carnival or through a separate company.
Insuremytrip.com :D

Today, Delta Airlines is down worldwide due to computer problems. We never fly in to port city on embarkation day, just because things like this happen and you have no control over it. Do any of you spin the wheel and fly in on embarkation day?
NEVER, just because of what you said.
-
Is this true industry-wide, or is it just true for Carnival? And if so, how much would the quality have to suffer before people would stop cruising as a result of poor experiences/value?
I would disagree that the food quality has declined. I think in most aspects, it has improved with many more choices than when I first cruised. Then again I enjoy the food much more if I am not preparing it :D

Our first leg of 11 days was almost $1200. We bought $1200 of AARP gift cards for $1080, applied them to S&S, went to the table set up by the bar and bought Cheers, and of course we had our first drink.
I know but, it is a wash because it is $10 a day more when purchased onboard.
-
Yes...that is correct. But she can apply them to her account once on board and then purchase the CHEERS package. But that way there is no discount... :o
That stinks!! Thanks!!

My sister is taking her honeymoon cruise on the Legend next week. I told her to buy Verizon gift cards to purchase her Cheers package pre cruise. She just called and said Carnival told her no gift cards?? Is this correct??

Back to your question, yes the food is very good on the Lido deck. :D They had similar items that they served in the MDR and even prime rib some nights, and remember there is always pizza :)

Hi,
Wondering if they have a Pandora store in Cozumel and a specific charm for there?
Thanks :)

They were pre-paid :(

Thanks for coming back and letting us know. Did you call NCL and ask where it is, because 7 weeks does sound like an awfully long time.
Hi,
I did call a few weeks ago, they said 4-6 weeks. Just disappointed. He was trying to do a nice thing. Lesson learned:eek:
-
Okay, I was wrong. Hubby got me a refundable OBC. There was nowhere that it said it would be 6 weeks to receive unused OBC. On Carnival they cut you a check for any unused OBC. It is 7 weeks tomorrow no refund. He got me this as a surprise. Had a pedicure but that's all, also could not use it in the Casino. Just trying to give a heads up :(
-
Though I had a fabulous NCL cruise, beware if you or someone purchases you a gift card. My hubby got me $300 gift card for my cruise, only used $100 of it, 6 weeks later still no refund :(
-
Really, we are talking 0.95 per person per day, they deserve every bit, plus !!!

My sister and I are scattering our moms ashes at sea on our upcoming cruise and we are wondering if the paper work that is listed on the FAQs to bring is strictly checked. We have an original copy of her death certificate but not sure we can get the paperwork from the funeral home. To be honest, that entire month is such a blur, neither of us even remembers the name of the place right now.
No worries. Did my Mom & Dad on the Sunshine last year, all that was required was a biodegrade-able vessel. Carnival was so amazing. Received a letter from the Captain with the coordinates. They were also highly respectful to what we wanted.

Hi, what time did you disembark? Do you know what was the earliest time for disembarkation? Thanks!
0715 if you self disembark(carry your own luggage), otherwise 0915.
Hope this helps.

I am also on the 5/21/16 Cruise. Just got an email that it has been cancelled. Don't think I will ever get there. This is 4th time scheduled to stop there that it has been cancelled .

Met people who were on the Gem this week, and they were al
so cancelled. we were on the Sky made it to GSC. Sorry :(

Just off the Sky. An amazing time. Entertainment top-notch. Food okay. Think I just broke up with Carnival.
-
We enjoyed the Sky in December. Don't be put off by those who denigrate the UBP. I have sailed three cruises on NCL in the past year and just booked another yesterday. I have seen no problems; but actually more people participate in the common areas which is a good thing IMHO.
The Sky was the best of the Bahama runs which include Carnival and Royal.
Thanks. just looking to recharge m batteries :)

New to NCL, thoughts, tips??????? Doing Sky for a recharge
