We have just returned from the QM2 world voyage (120) nights. Had to wear formal dresses more than once. From my experience on shorter voyages you are hardly likely to notice if anyone wears the same outfit more than once and for folks on longer trips you are all in the same situation and expect repeats, especially if flying and have less luggage. Just enjoy dressing up for an occasion. It is one of the many things that makes cruising such good fun.

Thanks for sharing this. We were on board for th whole world cruise, just back. Lovely to see the sail away from land. We were on the stern outside decks and thought the enthusiasm from shore was great.

Have returned from WC on QM2 this week. Had a fantastic time would recommend it to anyone who has considered doing such a trip. It will take me years to digest everything that we have seen and done. Being home is nice, but mind is still with the ship. Unpacking is almost as difficult as packing, the washing pile is a mountain and housework generally an overrated pastime that I have not missed for the last 4 months. Need a holiday and I gave developed itchy feet. Can't wait for my next trip.

Balcony or no Balcony on World Cruise

We had a balcony on our QM2 world cruise in 2016. We wanted the extra space, somewhere to escape from the crowds (or each other!), and we love having room service breakfasts with a view too. I would go for it if the budget allows without a doubt.
