I am on the dream now and have looked and I don't see any. I will ask to make sure but I have scoured the shops.
Thanks. I will be interested to know what you discover.

Thanks. I would appreciate you checking. If they are still available, there must be a reseller out there willing to sell at a fair price. If not, those prices might not be that far out of line.

I was just on the Fantasy last month and can confirm that there are no trays in Cabanas.

Hey Cruisers
I was just wondering if anyone knows if they still sell the DCL Donald / Dream Icon statue in the gift shop on the Disney Dream. I am trying to pick one up via resellers on Ebay or Mercari but the pricing is so high that I was curious if these are still available. I was able to pick up the Minnie on the Fantasy last month and I want to say it was around $40 but resellers are asking closer to $150-$200 for Donald. We are trying to get one for each ship that we have cruised on and we did not get one when we did the Dream a LONG time ago. Thanks for any information you can provide!

I need some advice from the CC family. We will be on the Fantasy in March 2023. My family is fully Covid vaccinated but the family we are traveling with is not vaccinated. The cruise departs on a Saturday and we will be flying into Orlando with a late arrival on Thursday night. We are also planning on doing a park day on that Friday, so we are pressed for time to get their testing done as doing it before flying out would be too early. It seems like a proctored test could work, but I was wondering if anyone has done the day-of-cruise testing with the Disney contracted provider near the port. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would check but I believe whatever you have left in your ship account after the cruise is forfeited. Use your cards at the end of the trip to pay your ship account. That way any balance not used will remain on the card for your next trip.
On board credit is forfeited, but gift card funds are not unless the balance is under $10. If the gift card balance at the end of the trip is under $10 then those funds are donated to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

I always apply gift cards to my Sail & Sign account for onboard spending. They always send me my remaining balance in the form of another gift card after the cruise is over.
If you have a balance over $10, they will send it back to you in the mail on a new gift card. If your balance is less than $10, it is donated to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

How long does it typically take to receive the cards?
I put in an order last Wednesday for a $500 card and it was delivered 15 minutes ago, so I would say about 1 week for delivery. Just FYI, it did require a signature.

I would not apply the gift card until you need it. Here is how it should work:
- Bar service purchases (including tips to servers) will first go against Cruise Bar Cash until it is depleted. Any excess will go against OBC. Any unused Cruise Cash will be forfeit.
- Photo department purchases (not positive if there is anything other than pictures) will work the same way.
- Any other expenses (including daily service charges/gratuities if not pre-paid) will go against OBC
- Once all OBC is used charges will apply to payment method on file. If you see yourself going through the OBC you can apply any or all of your gift card to your account.
If there is a credit balance in excess of $10 on your account (Carnival owes you money) and you have refundable OBC it should be returned to original form of payment (if gift card, returned to a new gift card). Less than $10 will be donated to St. Jude (not sure if in your name for tax purposes). Non-refundable OBC would obviously not be refunded but can be used at the casino.
If you didn't apply the gift card or only applied part of it, you will have the balance remaining on that card to use on a future Carnival cruise (or purchase gifts for someone else's cruise).
Any unused funds that were applied to the account from a gift card will be returned to you on a new gift card. When I returned with a balance on a Sunday I received a FedEx delivery two mornings later (Tuesday), so quick turn around. If you don't think you will use Carnival again, you would want to use the casino slot machines a few times to cash out the money.
Lots of good information, especially regarding the refund turn around (I was wondering about that too). Thanks!

There are some caveats about getting your funds back on a new gift card ...
If you let Carnival close the account out there must be at least $10 left on the S&S account, if under the funds are donated to Saint Jude's Children Cancer Research Hospital. For accounts with more than $10 of GC credit left a new card will be mailed 3-10 business days after the cruise to the address on file for that passenger.
An alternative, for balances under $10, is to manually close out the S&S account the last night on board prior to midnight. The small amount of cash could be refunded at Guest Services. The other alternative is when a large amount is left is to use the casino trick* to "withdraw" funds from your S&S account.
*Casino trick... go to a slot machine, create a player's account, download the current available amount to the machine (whole dollars only). Play a few spins, download the credits to your player's bank, visit the casino cashier to close out the casino account. They will give you cash.
Good information. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. Yea I wanted to be able to just have fun and not worry about what was being spent so I started squirreling away money in gift card form a full year ahead of time. By the time the date to go arrives we had amassed a decent amount.
I actually won back our expenses on board in the casino too and quit while I was ahead.
We now have a decent amount already squirreled away for the next cruise in the spring. [emoji106]

Wow, I think you are my new personal hero. Did you have any credit from one of the gift cards left on your account at the end of the cruise? If so, do they refund what is left in your account or does it go back on the gift card?
-
Yes. Cruise cash will be used first.
Wife and I just did this on the Splemdor to Cabo in June.
We had the cabin limit in cruise cash and another 3K from gift cards I had purchased over the course of a year leading up to the cruise.
No muss no fuss

Wow! I wish I had that much. You are quite the planner!

I have Cruise Bar Cash, Cruise Photo Cash, OBC and a gift card that I will be applying once we board our next cruise? Will the Cruise Cash (for applicable bar and photo purchases) and the OBC be used first before charges start coming off of the amount in the Sign & Sail account that was from the applied gift card? What happens if there is some money left over from the gift card at the end of the cruise?:ship::ship::ship:

If they did this it was part of the renovations.
It is being done as each Spirit class ship goes into dry dock. Luckily, a few weeks ago someone cancelled a 4K room between the life boats and I was able to change so we don't have a view of the broad side of a life boat. Still not what I booked, but at least it is better than what we would have been stuck with after the change. My biggest issue with the situation has always been how Carnival handled the situation by not informing cruisers that had booked before the change. Very similar to what happened a couple of days ago with the Cheers package, but did not get much attention since the 4K cabins are such a small percentage of the cabins within the fleet. I don't understand why they just don't give the information proactively instead of trying to sneak the changes and hope nobody notices. Have a great cruise!

Done!
Thanks!

The French doors on the Miracle have not been removed yet. It won't happen until it's next dry dock and I don't believe that date has even been announced yet.

I am interested! We have a group booked next year with a LOT of 4K's booked.
I was helping someone in a Legend Facebook group today. They went through a couple levels of customer service reps on the phone and got nothing offered. They are waiting for a call back from the next level representative. They might be more receptive to you since you have so many 4K cabins booked. It took A LOT of pushing from me to get anything. I managed to get $25 pp OBC, a bottle of wine and a pastry tray for the room. I would much rather have the French doors, but at least I got something.

Wonder if it opens... maybe NOT?
Absolutely does not open.

They can tell you as soon as you board the ship. I'm not sure why you would need this information before you board.
Jeezus, I was just wondering if it was indoors or not.

Some people just want to know. It doesn't matter why.
Muster station B is outside on deck 3 forward. I can't remember if it was port or starboard. I just remember standing near an outside entrance to the Enchanted Forest interior promenade that goes around the main lounge.
Thanks for the information. I was mostly curious if it was indoors or outdoors.

Do you know what will be done to her in the dry dock?
According to Carnival, they will be removing the French doors from the 4K cabins and replacing them with windows, as they have been doing with the Spirit Class ships when they go into dry dock (however, I heard that the Carnival Spirit was spared because the windows arrived to late to install during her recent dry dock).
-
Does anyone happen to know where Muster Station B is on the Carnival Legend?
-
An update on Carnival Spirit: She still has the French Doors in the 4K cabins, confirmed by someone currently on board in one of these cabins. The report is that the shipping container carrying the windows was delayed and didn't make it to dry dock on time.
Thanks for the update. Carnival has finally changed the 4K room descriptions for all of the Spirit class ships on their website from French doors to obstructed view windows, even for the ships that still have the doors (for now). At least now anyone that is shopping for a future cruise will have correct information for the 4K cabins.

Well, that's the information that I needed. Thanks for taking the time to look and ask. Enjoy your cruise!
