  1. Can someone tell me what activities are available to book ahead of time and how you go about it? When are they released?

We are on Voyager of the Seas and there are some things we'd really like to do (laser tag, ice skating, etc.) I know these will book up quick. Can you tell me when these are available to reserve?

    Thank you.

  2. We were fortunate enough to snag a phenomenal deal on a 2-bedroom grand suite on the Voyager for myself, husband and daughter. Having only stayed in a junior suite, I have some questions:

In the suite lounge, when we are getting drinks, do we tip? Or is this considered included?

Do we have to stay in the suite lounge with our drinks or can we go on to other areas of the ship with our drinks?

Are bottles of water or cans of soda available in the suite lounge?

Thank you all for your help. This is all new to me!

Suite Lounge is a separate room within the Viking Crown = nice views

Happy hour with free select list of drinks is normally 5pm to 8pm each night.

Yes, they offer soft drinks during the happy hour.

Continental breakfast in the AM, hors d'oeuvres during happy hour.

There is a self-serve coffee machine available throughout the day with various "specialty" coffees.

Thank you so much for this info. Sounds lovely. One more question... can you take the drinks with you or do you need to consume them there?

  6. This will be our first time in a grand suite on Voyager of the Seas. Can someone tell me what the suite lounge is like and when the drinks are available? My husband and I don't really drink a lot but wouldn't mind a glass of wine now and then.  Also, do they offer soft drinks? I'm trying to figure out what beverage package to get. Any other information about the suite lounge would help so much ( size of lounge, types of snacks, hours, etc.).

    Thank you!

Our family of 5 recently stayed 2 nights in Hotel Olimpia just off Piazzale Roma in Venice.  The hotel is very convenient and reasonably priced. The rooms were modern and larger than expected. Their breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend.

We had 2 day vaporetti passes which we used extensively. The stations were close by and with steady service, we never had to look at schedules. The People Mover for our shuttle to Ravenna is right in Piazzale Roma.

Before the trip we questioned whether we should be more in the heart of Venice, but we are very happy with our decision.

Can you tell me what shuttle you are referring to? We will be arriving in Ravenna with Royal Caribbean and are trying to figure out the best way to get to Venice. (There are 6 of us)

We had a 11:50 flight out to PHL.  Now they changed the time to 9:40. Is anyone having delays at security on flights back to the US?

    Thanks

    Jeff

we have the same problem. Our flight was supposed to leave at 12:50 to PHL and they switched it to 9:40. Just curious what you have decided to do.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has been able to get their Dr. to provide this document.  Has there been any hesitation from the medical profs to provide such a document ?

I had COVID at Easter and just saw my doctor on Friday who had no hesitation with providing me the letter.

  10. Can someone tell me what I should set my phone on to avoid charges for calls made and received? I know you are supposed to put it on airplane mode. We have signed up for the ship's wifi. I don't plan on making any phone calls at all while on ship.

Ideally, I would like to be able to have my family Facetime me, post on Facebook and send messages via Facebook Messenger. I'd like to be able to check email and that's about it.

So, if I put my phone on airplane mode, how will I use wifi? Also, using the Royal wifi, can you text other people in your group? Do they need to have wifi, too?

    Thanks for your help!

  11. Only 3 weeks until we are on our cruise to Alaska! We would like to make a dinner reservation when we get on the ship (we can't do it ahead of time because we have a coupon for a free specialty meal). My question is - where do you go to make these reservations? Or is it done through the app once we're on board? I really want to get a good night and time so I'm eager to make the reservation as soon as possible.

    Thanks for your help!
