  2. We were in the same situation yesterday and I saw that island marketing beach break - then I had an idea. I contacted the Marriott Stellaris Resort and Casino - which happens to be my favorite San Juan hotel - and we have stayed at many including the El San Juan and the Intercontinental.

$60 pp for the day - included $20 pp food voucher - access to pool and beach - family changing room with 2 showers (this is not a hotel room - just a changing area) and they held our luggage all day.

I can’t say enough about this resort or the staff. Resort is spotless and the staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful.

Hope this is helpful. Keep us posted on your decision.

  4. Have stayed at the Stellaris. Pool are is very nice. Restaurant at pool level was pleasant and food good. They have children's menu. Beach there is nice sand. However water can be rough there. They will have flags out to let you know the conditions and safety guards are watching. They also have 3 bars for the adults!!! 2 in the pool area and one alongside the beach. We love it there!!

    Thank you the feed back!!

  5. I am looking at 2 different excursions while we are in PR for a quick port stop. We will be traveling with our 4yo son so need something that will be fitting for him.

How are the beaches post Irma? Specifically the beach for this excursion, it doesnt say which one. Do the umbrellas they provide on the Beach Break excursion provide enough shade? I like that the beach break excursion offers drinks and lunch however worried about the heat and lack of shade.

The idea of the Marriott and the pools and shade and relaxing atmosphere is nice but its a bit more costly plus we would have to purchase drinks and food.

Would love insight on anyone who has done either one of these while in PR.

I am also looking into the PR beach break through PR cruise excursions and can’t find any review or beach info. Have you found any information on them? Thx. Family of 4 looking to send the day relaxing.

  6. Have a look at https://puertoricocruiseexcursions.com/ We did an incredible rainforest and waterfall tour with them but they have lots of other options and they took our luggage and took us to the airport after the tour. I think they offer that service for most of their tours

Has anyone done the Beach Brake day with Puerto Rico cruise excursions? Looking for reviews. Thx

  7. The one thing that I always take with me is a hanging shoe organizer. Great for shoes, books, electronic, etc. hang it on the bathroom door and All is good or get a magnetic hook and put it where it works for you.

    Enjoy your cruise!!!!

  8. Was on Oasis 2 years ago. Excellent choice. For a first cruise you will be spoiled.

My advise is to book as much as you can before you get on the boat( shows, dinners, etc). Make sure you book the comedy club. Have lunch ( roast beef sandwich) at park cafe in Central Park and breakfast in the dining room at least once.

Bring magnets( with hooks on them). The walls in your cabin are magnetic. Great for hanging wet bathing suits and any papers.

Bring an over the door shoe rack, great for shoes and also other small things to be stored ( sunblock, pens, post its, high lighter, books, magazines, etc).

Do as much as you want or as little as you want. Just have a good time.

  9. Did you take out travel insurance? If you did, they should cover your lost items. I had the same issue a few years back and I put a claim in to the travel insurance and they covered everything. Good luck! I hope they are found!!

  10. Yes. That comes to $363.44 which is what we are paying for a 7 night Premium Package on September cruise (with 20% off).

But many people are being charged $388.22....so why is there a discrepancy?

RCCL is saying that the $44 ($363) is fall/ winter rate and $47 per day ($388) is summer rate.

This is the email ANSWER that RCCL sent me when I asked the same question:

As beverage package pricing is now managed on a voyage basis, unfortunately we are not able to provide beverage package pricing for you in this instance as it is subject to change. Guests can find specific pricing pertaining to their cruise within the online Cruise Planner. Regrettably, we are unable to provide firm dates in which Cruise Planner reservations will become available to purchase. While amenities may become available sooner, generally all Cruise Planner purchases and/or reservations should be available at approximately 90 days prior to sailing. Guests may continue to check the Cruise Planner website to see when they become available. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause.

  11. Call them on it. I did!!!! Tell them no were does it state the current full price. Make sure you ask for a supervisor, a regular rep can and will do nothing for you. They will tell you there is nothing they can do, tell them you want OBC for the difference. Mine was $65. If they can give you credit ask for wine or something. Good luck. Also if you get no were the first time call back it took me 3 calls to get something.
