  1. Thank you, Huntingdon1701, for these posts!   We are not booked until next July unfortunately but your are reminding me what we have to look forward to.  Belated Happy Birthday wishes to you.  I wish I was aboard now to enjoy all you are showing us.  I love the Mosaic Cafe and would often spend time there on sea afternoons with a cappuccino and biscotti.  Is the Windows Buffet open for use and if so are crew serving or are passengers getting their own food?

Hope you are having a fantastic time - your posts are much appreciated.  We are all living vicariously through them!  😍

A message from our President, Carol Cabezas.

"2021 has nearly just begun and we’ve already shared some exciting news. In light of these recent updates, we are kicking off this next era by introducing a fourth Azamara ship to the fleet! This additionpending the close of the transaction announced earlier this month that Sycamore Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Azamara, marks our new future of growth as well as new opportunities to reach more destinations and communities than ever before.

Sycamore Partners has purchased the Pacific Princess, a former R-class ship comparable in size to our three sister ships. Just like Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Pursuit, our newest addition will be able to sail into intimate rivers, visit smaller, as well as less-crowded ports other vessels can’t access. It will provide an excellent space for special connections to form while never feeling overcrowded. Prior to our return to service, we will complete a bow-to-stern refurbishment that will echo the soft, natural tones and elegant touches of her sister ships with a few new onboard elements. And, of course, you can expect those same intimate experiences and personalized touches Azamara is known and loved for.

It is my pleasure to announce that our newest ship will sail its inaugural season in Europe of 2022. There is no better way to embrace Azamara’s defining spirit of Destination Immersion® experiences than by setting sail into one of the most historically rich and culturally diverse continents in the world. We know this will be more than memorable, it will be a transformative moment not just for the brand and crew, but especially for Azamara Circle℠ members like you.

This news couldn’t have come at a better time, bringing fresh adventures to look forward to as we work towards resuming operations. Stay tuned in the coming months to learn more about our newest boutique hotel at sea with sneak peeks on interiors, itineraries, and more. We hope you are as excited for the future as we are and we can’t wait to embark into this new world with even more opportunities for deeper immersion."

This is GREAT news - my home just got a "new addition" with a renovation!  I just wish I received the emails from Azamara as others do!

  3. I am so ready to return to Azamara!  To the warm family atmosphere of the crew and fellow passengers.  We have two cruises booked for next summer - hopefully we will be aboard!

  4. We are home! This did not turn out to be the cruise we were expecting. When we left there were very few cases of Covid19 in Ontario and NONE in South America. When we boarded the Azamara Pursuit on March 2nd in Buenos Aires there was news of 1 case reported in Brazil. Off we went - oblivious to what was happening in the rest of the World! On March 11th we docked in Punta Arenas and took an excursion across the Magellan strait to see the penguin. Never considering this would be our last port until we docked in Miami 19 days later! Through all of the uncertainty, flight change, after flight change, after flight change - 5 in all - the Azamara team was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! The Captain always kept us updated - both good and bad news and always with a smile and joke. The ship was never under quarantine so we were free to roam about, sit by the pool or go to one of the many amazing entertainment/shows the crew put on. We were extremely well fed and kept "hydrated" with an abundance of free flowing wine/liquor. The toughest decision we faced each day was what time did we want to go for a meal and what food did we want to eat 🍇🍞🥞🧀🥓🍳🥗🍟🍔🌯🍦🍷🍰🍹t - soooo many choices! This was definitely not the cruise we signed up for but I have to say it was still a great time. We made many new friends, had a lot of laughs and really enjoyed ourselves with the bonus that as we were no longer attending any ports and everyone aboard was healthy we were probably in a safer place than we are right now back at home. The captain and crew had one main objective - to keep all the passengers safe, healthy and happy. Azamara has always had very high sanitation regulation and proceedures and during this period of uncertainty they doubled their efforts. Some have asked if we would ever cruise again after this experience and without reservation my answer is always ABSOLUTLY! This virus has shown us how quickly life can change from perfection to disaster. My belief is if my time is up then so be it - will I take precautions to prevent disaster - definitely but I will not let something like this rule my life and wrap myself in a cocoon and stay there - Once we get this virus under control and it is once again safe to travel - then off I will go. As an added bonus Azamara not only took such fantastic care of us aboard we have also been advised we are being fully refunded the total amount of the cruise (50% cash refund and 50% future cruise credit) so I definitely will cruise again and take advantage of my credit certificate!  I hope that everyone stays healthy and safe, don't take this situation for granted. 🌎

  5. And now the end is near - we arrived into Port of Miami yesterday. The silence and lack of people milling around wss very erie! Although there are multiple ships tied up at the pier they were all empty. Some anchored just outside of the port are there because they had ill people aboard. We are now getting a better understanding of what is really going on. While aboard the ship we were not in "the real world". We had no illness, no quarantine, provided with great food, entertainment and lots of liquid refreshments - we made many new friends and just enjoyed the voyage. Today is a very different scenario - the quietness in port - no people, cars or hustle and bustle that a port usually had. Passengers started disembarking this morning. Once again Azamara has come thru providing buses to take passengers to both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports. Well organized they are calling people according to the numbered luggage tags they provided and are transporting in groups based on flight departure times. The Captain and many senior officers are at the gangplank to wish farewell to all. I cannot issue enough praise to Captain Carl Smith and the entire Azamara Pursuit crew!! They have been absolutely phenomenal during this situation and turn a tremendous ordeal into a phenomenal experience!! 💖💖💖💖😍

  6. We are currently aboard the Pursuit and Captain Carl and ALL his crew have been absolutely phenomenal! With everything they have been dealing with each day their first priority has always been the passengers and their comfort and enjoyment! I hope Azamara fully realizes the absolute dream team they employ!
