There is "The Beatles Invasion" which is a mediocre Beatlemania type show. The show is ok - but the Beatle impersonators are just too old to make it work.

 

Comedians have shows in both the main theater and in The Social, sometimes 3 shows per evening. We have been unable to get a seat as it is FCFS and we don't feel like standing in line for 30-45 min it is before the show.

 

There are two excellent bands that play in the Atrium and around the ship. Guns and Rojas does classic rock and they are excellent.

How did you get this showtime line up a day before boarding. We leave on the 18th and would love to be able to have the line up prior to boarding in order to make reservations as soon as we board.

You have a butler and there is a pool of butlers working different shifts so a butler is available 24x7 to deliver whatever room service you want.  Butlers mainly deliver room service including food and cocktails.  The spa tub in the room is small but works OK - not a great one but not bad just average. It comes with bath salts.  It is up against a picture window.  There is 1 door  to the balcony next to it.  You. would have to block it open, not sure it would feel like being outside as there is a glass surround on each end of the tub.  The shower is large - plenty of room for 2 normal size people.  You have a coffee/tea maker, access to the thermal suite, access to The Haven, The Haven Bar, The Haven restaurant (we always eat breakfast and lunch there unless we are onshore.).  You will have flowers in the suite when you board as well as fruit and some sparkling wine.  There is a wine opener in the room as well as wine glasses, champagne glasses, cocktail glasses,  plates and cutlery.  You can get different types of pillows - I asked the room steward and received 2 foam pillows and a lighter blanket as the comforter was too heavy and hot for us.   You will get upgraded Bulgari amenities.  Some spa rooms have a table and chairs, other have a small sofa and coffee table.  Having had both, I think I prefer the table and chairs. Each day your butler will bring canapés to your cabin in the late afternoon.  We got stuff like chocolate covered strawberries, tea sandwiches, cookies and other types of canapés.   It was our anniversary cruise, so they surprised us with decorations and a cake.  Here's a video tour of The Haven Spa Suite: 

 

Thank you so much for the tour.  We are on the 14th deck in May.  Hopefully we will be able to go and and not get cancelled.  Do you have to pay for the cocktails and champagne if you have the drink package?  Also can you take your champagne and drinks into the spa?

Just booked a spa suite in the Haven on NCL's Breakaway.   Can someone tell me what comes with this?  Do we have a butler, and what does he do?  Does he work 24/7?  How is the hot tub in the room, can you open the doors all the way to feel like your outside?

Royal Caribbean, Celebrity & Azamara has suspended all sailings starting at midnight tonight for 30 days. This news came out in the last hour.

We booked gurantee inside cabins. Minimum bid was $50pp for balcony. I bid $75pp and the bid was accepted. We got a midship balcony on the 14th deck. Of course, we are supposed to leave tomorrow and have no idea if we will actually be cruising!🤷‍♀️ I think because a lot of people are cancelling, 

You were lucky.  That's a good cabin.

Hope your not sailing NCL tomorrow.  NCL just suspended all 3 of there cruise lines until April 11th. This just happened in the last hour.

I guess the cruises I have gone on are just not giving upgrades at good prices.  The least I have ever seen is $100 pp fron an ocean view to a balcony

Last Sunday we booked 2 inside guarantee cabins on the Escape for an unbelievable price for the sailing this Saturday. I got the upgrade advantage email yesterday, I put in a low bid for 1 balcony cabin and just received the confirmation upgrade this evening. I think a lot of people are cancelling.

I see that people get upgrades for little bids but when I try to upgrade they have a min start for the cabin that you are bidding on.  How do you bid $100.00 instead of $300.00?

But just bookied it last night and being excited about it I didn't think that it would hurt to ask a question, and I really didn't expect to get someone telling me what I already knew about this not being the right ship. Yes I know that but I saw that CoCod8 was saying about the gem being stolen from them and I just thought that I would ask a question. Is that not allowed?  Because if you can not ask an innocent question about a ship that was mentioned in a previous statement then maybe I shouldn't be with this group.  I see all kinds of things about the Bliss being spoke of on this thread.  Have you asked you asked them this same question?

We just booked the Gem out of Boston for May 2019 yester.  Going to Boston 4 days before. Any suggestions on hotels, dining and entertainment?

I have been on the Getaway and the Escape and have never had a call to upcharge. I wonder how they pick the cabins to ask?
