  1. Returned from Diamond a week ago and sad to say the Stateroom we had contained a std toilet. I am told, however, that all the common FEMALE toilets had been upgraded but the Mens had not. The ONLY fancy one I found that I could actually use was in the Lotus Spa and the Japanese Baths.

  2. Hi,

My Family and I have just returned from the Diamond Princess, Singapore to Sydney.

In the last 4 or 5 days ALL of us ended up with a cough at some stage, some worse than others (I myself am only just recovering after a week back).

My parents in another room on another level were the same.

My thought was that it was caused from the constant air blowing while we sleep (a real issue for me when I travel) and there is no way to adjust the air other than the temperature.

Anyone else have any issues as described?

  3. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against having an area where bratty kids are not welcome, I guess it's just that with this whole trip (the Cruise is only half of the trip) we're having to pay Adult price for the kids where most of the time they don't get the full benefit, eg, a rollaway in the hotel is not worthy of an adult fare imo.

I can understand kids aren't allowed in the bar areas due to Licencing, same with the gambling areas, but really, how can a restriction be placed on an area purely because people don't like certain clientele?

My daughter is a mature teenager who behaves far more mature than many Adult 'yahoo's' I've seen around the pool area, so really, who is the child here?

Please don't take this too seriously as it's just a bit of fun conversation.

    Cheers,

  4. Hi,

    (First post here, yay)

Anyway, we're travelling on the Diamond in Sept and my daughter asked the question: "If we're paying Adult prices for everything does that mean we can go in the Adult Only area? (ie the Sanctuary)"

She's 14 and I thought it was a fairly good question.

Knowing some Countries don't class anyone under 21 as an Adult, the 'legal' age in Oz for Alcohol is 18.

So, yeah, if she's paying the same as any Adult then WHY can't she go in the Sanctuary area?

  5. Hello,

I'm in pretty much the same boat (pun somewhat intended) as you whereby I have a 14yo daughter and a 12yo son, and we are doing the Diamond in Sept. They don't want to be separated and if the rules were that each had to stick to their relevant groups then neither would be attending, which is almost a pity as I'm sure they'd enjoy it regardless.

Anyway, a month or so back I rang Princess and they said it should be fine for my son to step up to the older group, I just had to talk to one of the staff to arrange.

  6. I'm booked on the SIN-SYD Diamond Princess cruise and the option for the AI is not available in the personaliser.

A call to Princess also confirmed it is NOT an option.

Hmm, just logged in to the Cruise Personaliser and for some reason the AI Beverage Package has now appeared!!

I wish people would make up their mind.

  7. It's available on the Diamond this September SIN to SYD.

Strange because my parents journeyed the reverse trip, Syd-Sin in Jan on Celebrity and they had a FREE drinks package.
