Tenpin, I just wanted to thank you for bringing up a wonderful memory of my one toga night in the Caribbean. This was over 20 years ago, and my 9 year old daughter was with us, as well as her Godparents and a grandmother. We had such a fun-filled evening. We're, once again, going on another Costa cruise next February, and I fully realize things have changed greatly in all that time, but I still expect to enjoy this cruise. Sadly, no toga night though. Sigh! Again, thank you for the memory.

Thank you Beyond7seas and Krazy Kruizers for the welcome. I'm glad to know that the search feature sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I just assumed the problem was that I was doing something wrong.

Ky Colonel ~ My dad was also a Ky Col and proud of it! DH and I now live in Cincinnati - just across the river from God's Country, and visit it many times visiting relatives. So glad to "meet" you.

Ky Col ~ I love your name. DH and I are both from Kentucky originally. Thank you for the welcome, and I'm so glad to know that you will take good care of our "home away from home" on the cruise before ours. I'll wave as we pass. I'll be the one smiling though. ;)

OK, even though I was a bit hesitant to start posting, it seems to be a good thing.

Thank you so much for the welcome, Boytjie and Ruth C. We will be on the February 8 cruise from Ft. Lauderdale on the Oosterdam. It would be considered, I guess, more of an Eastern Caribbean cruise. It's quite port-intensive (which I like) even though we've been to many of the ports before. Martinique, St. Kitts, and Half Moon Cay will be new to us though. I'm really looking forward to this. DH and I've not cruised for several years due to my hip replacement - all better now though. :) Thanks again for the welcome. Hope to talk to you soon.

Hello Everyone. As you can see, this is my first post. I'm not new to cruising but am new to HAL and Cruise Critic. What a wealth of information this site is! DH and I, along with 2 or possibly 3 other couples, will be on the February 8, 2016 Oosterdam cruise. We are all in our 60's and retired. We enjoy evening entertainment but doubt that we'll be closing down any night clubs ;). Our travel companions will be continuing on with the second leg of the B2B, but, unfortunately, DH and I have other commitments and will have to leave at the end of the first leg. Oh well, any cruise is better than none at all. I'm sure I'll have questions and apologize in advance if any of these questions have been asked and answered before. I'm not having a great deal of luck with the search function. I just thought I'd get brave and make a first post to introduce myself. I look forward to talking with all of you in the future.
