  1. MSC still has not straighten out my final bill this is since May. I owed nothing. In fact I left the ship with some on board credit. This will be posted since my other posts were not. I was told it was a computer glitch. You cannot speak to anyone from billing. It takes weeks to get a response. My advice check your final bill before the last nite. I was originally charged $864.!!

  2. I cruised in the Yacht Club on the May 21,2022 sailing of the Seashore.

I was not given credit for the $400 on board.  They said they would send a check.  Haven’t received it yet.  They also charged $342.20 to the Top Sail Lounge Bar. And $89.76 Top Sail Sun Deck Lounge.  I have no knowledge of what I could have spent it on???  I was in the yacht club. Never ordered drinks not included. So far still waiting for clarification. I will have to pursue and outside consumer agency to resolve my issues.  They could at lease acknowledge my request for clarification of charges.

  3. We are with YC. Cannot tolerate too much sun. Would like to go and see the place and maybe have lunch. Is the transportation readily available? We would probably  stay 2 hours.

  4. Is there anything I should turn on or off during the cruise. I don’t want to accrue exorbitant fees. It’s been awhile and I don’t remember. LOL

    Hello Wireless-

Of course, a very fluid situation and changes could happen at any moment...as we all know.

We board Saturday and are required to have negative test within 3 days of our boarding day.

The ports are not setting these requirements, each cruise line is setting their own.

Was on in February and was tested inside the MSC terminal in Miami...so that has stopped.

MSC, being a EU company has approached the pandemic different than the other lines.

    Enjoy your cruise

    Cheers!

    PS, I miss Cary...great memories

    I thought it was 2 days 28 hours. .

  6. I want to be prepared. Do they add gratuities to your account or do I have to have cash.?  I usually give extra so I take some cash but not enough for everyone.

  7. After reading these replies and my own, I think I might handle it differently. I would probably wait until I was home and get in touch with the cruise line.  I would explain the proposition and make sure they knew how uncomfortable I felt and it put a damper on my experience.  After all you are on vacation.  Who wants to make moral decisions?  I would not name the employee involved and hope that a general warning would suffice.  Its a difficult situation and certainly not one I would have to deal with on my vacation.

  8. We have sailed Oceania, Crystal, Viking and our earlier days were on Celebrity, Norwegian, etc.  We are now enamored with Viking.  The only lacking element on our first Viking was the poor lectures.  Crystal has all the lines beat on this aspect. Our last was Oceania Sirena. I don't think we will cruise with them again. This will surprise most. We love the MSC Yacht Club. We mostly travel to the Caribbean on them. They are inexpensive and have all private facilities. Everyone leaves for shore on port days and we have the rest of the ship to ourselves.  Totally lacks lectures but we love it anyway. Beautiful ships.

  9. Just curious.  Wine, beer and soft drinks are included at lunch and dinner.  Does that mean if you have a coke, sprite etc.  in between you are charged?  It sounds that way but isn't that a little petty? What about iced tea?

  10. Staying overnight before a cruise at Cambria Airport Blue Lagoon. They advertise free shuttle from the airport but they charge $5 per “package”. This would be $20 for the 2 of us. Not really free. Does anyone know if a taxi would be less. Or an Uber?  Just annoys me to use the so called free shuttle.

There are many things that can delay your disembarkation.

    We have experienced several.

Problems with the ship, customs, and twice, either a very ill person or someone had an accident.

They will be taken off the ship first and loaded into an ambulance, Until the ambulance pulls away, no one else gets off.

We just were delayed on another line for 4 hours and disembarked at 1:30. And the ship.only held 678 pax.

Good for you...one of the best ways to start off....do not forget..

Have your cab drop you at the YC tent...Do NOT give your luggage to a porter...give it to a butler   :O)

They will escort you to a nice waiting room where you will sip champagne & eat cookies while you wait to register & get escorted to your room or the top sail lounge  !

Is the white tent near main boarding. Last time we were a great distance from there and the cab had a difficult time finding it at the Miami port

Has anyone stayed in this cabin? I'm not worried about noise, but want to make sure it is the same size as the other cabins. I read one post that said 16038 (on the other side) was narrower and the balcony was smaller.

    Thanks in advance.

When is your cruise?  I’m booked in that cabin in May. Interested in hearing about it.
