Looking for Freestyle Daily’s for The Gem Southern Caribbean 10 day if anyone has an updated one or a link to one I would greatly appreciate it

    TIA

If any are out there that may apply to the GEM 11-day sailing Dec 22, I know a few people that are interested!!  Last year's sailing was a modified itinerary so it can't be the same this year.

  2. We just got back from an 8/25 cruise on the Bliss and used the new app. It was $9.95/phone. Worked just great. Occasionally a message was delayed a bit. My one complaint is that if you book the race track and/or laser tag, it doesn't show you those reservations on the app. It will show you that you have *something* reserved that day, but not the details. It shows dining and show reservations though.

We did have one issue when we first arrived that one of our dining reservations seemed to have disappeared. I had printed out our edocs the day before and the dining reservation was there. Then when we got on the ship one was gone. I then went to make a new one on the TV and it somehow made 2 15 minutes apart. So I had to call down to the dining people to get that sorted out. But I don't know if that was the app's fault for deleting it up front or some random fluke.

I also wish you could see the restaurant menus on the app - or on the TV for that matter. It seemed like the only place we could see menus was on the screens on the walls out near the elevators. All that to say they could definitely improve it, but for talking to your vacation companions it worked fine.

Most of what you are mentioning is included with the free app and does not require the 9.95 per phone. That fee is just for txt and calling. I agree with you though that the main app still has plenty of room for improvement. They have certainly come a long way over the past few years with thier apps. No idea why the bliss switched to a different app though. Seemed to have the same function as the app for the other ships.

  3. we will be on the Bliss for Thanksgiving and in the past we used the old I concierge app for texting and calling while on the ship and most of the time it worked great!!

does the new app work the same way? and I think the cost was 14.99 per phone is that the same too

and did you have any problems getting it to work

I had a friend who had an Samsung 8 (which is what I have now ) and she could not get it to work on the Getaway

so I am hoping some one has used this on the Bliss we have over 40 cabins going and want to tell everyone to down load the new app but before I did that I was hoping for some feed back

    Thank you for your help!!:D

The Bliss uses a different app but works the same way. Used it with Note 8, S8+, S5, and Pixel 2 when we were on in June. I would give it 95% reliability as some txts were slightly delayed.

  4. If you have lots of electronics, camera batteries, iPads, or tablets etc that need charging, a power strip is a good thing to pack to give you outlets to plug into. Depending on the cabin, you may find a lack of free outlets...

A battery operated alarm clock is also nice to have if you don't rely upon wake up calls...

Power strip that os UL certified but not a surge suppressor. Bring extra hangers.

  5. You may see conflicting information based in feedback that is no longer current. Best to get information directly from NCL website or hope someone responds that is just off the Breakaway. Even the, it doesn't guarantee there won't be changes again before you sail.

  6. Appreciating the effort! Did you happen to take a snapshot of the dinning options for Day three? Knowing what they offer will help us to decide ahead of time if we want to go to a specialty restaurant or hit up the theme buffet? Wondering what the Alaskan Dinner on the second night offered. Hope you are having a GREAT TIME!!

  7. I haven’t used the unlimited plan myself but my understanding is that it can only be used on one device at a time but you can switch between devices.
I have bought the unlimited plan twice. It os not per device but you setup a username and password for the account. Only one device can be signed in at a time but you can sign in from any device. My family of four shared the account and it has worked well for us. Most recently on an 11 day on the Gem but the first was a nine day on the breakaway.

  8. is the TeppanYaki restaurant on the Escape wheelchair accessible?

A bit worried about the table height or leg room

Also if you avoid shellfish should you steer clear.

Yes, it accessible to wheelchairs. Table height is fine.

If you have a shellfish allergy just tell them ahead of time. They can accommodate such. The person at my table had an allergy. They cooked her food first.

  9. I have a few questions about the iConcierge app. I apologize if these questions have been asked before; the site will not let me do a search.

In reading some of the information on the NCL site, I believe we can use the app to make reservations, get daily information, and talk to other people we are traveling with. Do we have to be connected to the ships wifi in order for this app to work? We will have the "Internet Plan" that we booked as one of our perks, but I am not sure I want to use all my "internet time" using their app. For those of you who have used the app, did you find it worthwhile to have or would you have been fine without it? Any other information on the app that we should know about? Thanks so much.

The app has different features depending on your choice of plans. It does need to be connected to at least the ships free WiFi. Once connected it will provide ship specific information such as the dailies. It will also let you make reservations. If you choose a communication plan (9.99 per person when I was last on a ship), it allows you to call or txt anyone else with an active plan or any storeroom. My family finds it very useful so I ignore the sticker shock, and sign up when we first board.
