We are booked for D738 on the Sapphire in March. Has anyone had this cabin? How did you like it? LPT:confused:

These are some really good and sweet ideas. Most crew members have cell phones these days! So the phone card thing is a bit outdated. Remember they have so little space to call their own! They share cabins and have one little personal shelf. The thank you cards are a good idea, the candy is cute. These people rely on cash tips! They have very low saleries and send money home to their home countries to help out their family's...So even though you may find it cold and impersonal...Cash is what these people want and need. I like the idea of giving the small gifts to the little kids in port! Happy cruising to all of you! LPT:rolleyes:

Seeing all those neked cruisers on their balconies...just kidding..although we did see some whoppy making a couple of years ago...geez people! We had our kid with us and had to scram her back into the cabin..lol:confused:

Why thank you. we have never had a covered balcony...will be a new experience...as well as having a full suite...anyone else regarding if this room is nice or if you have ever sailed in it...LPT:rolleyes:

Good question. I would like to know as well. We have cruised many times before and been to Ensenada several times. I have seen what I need to see there. A massage could be a nice change of pace. Welcome to cruising ..this will be my first time on the Monarch July 28 for the four day...you will be hooked! Happy cruising

Hmmm a few years ago we were on a cruise with Jared...of Subway fame...nice guy..always in the casino..I know..because I was too:D dh played many an hour of blackjack with him.....he took photo's and signed autographs for people....but he said he was tired of people watching him when he ate...he was on vacation for Goodness sakes....lpt:rolleyes:

Ok my friends...some of these things I never had..some I did and miss...but come on. Cruising is one of the best Vacation values we can get. They feed you and wait on you and clean your room. I have always had great cruise staff and have made friends. So....If we did not think it was so great we would not be on this board!!! Happy cruising to all of you and calm seas and warm weather....lpt:)

I love the dress up and have lobster and prime rib night...one of the highlights of the cruise. You do not have to get the lobster...and no,,,It is not up to par with a fresh yummy..Whole Maine lobster..Which my dh and I paid 70 bucks a piece for a couple of weeks ago in Vegas...but it is still yummy..and way different than the average dinner at home...stop stressing out about the little things...you will not starve on a cruise ship!
-
What the heck my friends...why risk it? don't wait for last minute either...Just get it done..and have the peace of mind...Have a great day...

:p I do not eat breakfast as a norm...just coffee...but on a cruise..all bets are off...breakfast lunch tea and dinner...i try and stay away from the desserts..just a bite....breakfast usually pancakes and yougurt..coffee and juice and bacon....oh i prefer the dining room lunches or lunch in port...i love the tea time....and dinner is my fav...less than eight weeks..Sapphire princess..April first...hurray:D
-
I have another cruise coming up in April on the Princess Sapphire..my best advice is to take the stairs...no elevators..unless it is formal night and you have high heels on...also I agree with the walking so much because of poor direction...it always took us twenty minutes to get to the dining room...such a wierd location...cheers:D

Thank you teachergal, I hope it is as nice as it sounds. I do not know if the bath is jacuzi on the Sapphire. That would be nice, I have one of those at home and really miss it when we cruise...LPT:o
