  1. Thanks everyone for the suggestion. I appreciate all the advice and positive comments.

My wife and I are leaving this coming Sunday on the Breakaway with our 2.5 year old. We are staying in a Haven penthouse suite, and plan on having lots of fun. Yes, our daughter will be a 2 year old, and we will be good parents. But we are on vacation and children will always be excited. Just do what you would normally do, and enjoy your trip without putting too much worry into every little noise.

If people want a vacation without children, then a cruise probably isn't for them. Enjoy the trip and have a blast!

  2. Just wanted to drop a quick post. My fam of 4 will be cruising the Breakaway in a Haven Aft (12304 to be exact). I made a call to the PCC and they were great. Got me booked on the shows and restaurants I wanted. Only thing so far is they said we can't book Cirque yet. It doesn't show up online either, but I will just have the concierge on board get us in. They asked me if I wanted anything for the kids. They are going to empty the mini fridge and stock it with apple juice and milks for them. Had them ensure I have extra pillows too. So far, very pleased. Can't say anything bad.

Anyone have other ideas for cool requests I can make pre-cruise (or even when I am on)? This is my first ever Haven experience. :):)

I'm in the exact same room (12304) on the sept 13th sailing. Maybe I'll try to hide a welcome note somewhere for you.

  3. Hello All:

Lately there seems to be a lot of chatter about the fireworks ending. Is it true that NCL is considering showing a "previously recorded" fireworks display on a large projection screen close to the adult only pool area? I think this would allow people the thrill of seeing fireworks while not having to deal with all the "live" excitement. For those folks that cant make it to the pool area for the showing NCL will let you view the fireworks on your stateroom television for a pay per view small additional fee added to your shipboard account.

    Any other suggestions out there???

Are you one of those people that watch the fireplace channel on tv during the holidays??

  4. I will be on NCL Breakaway to Bermuda in Sept. We are docking at the Royal Naval Dockyard. My wife and I are traveling with our 2 year old and we are looking to do a day trip to Hamilton. From what I see there is a ferry that runs between the two, and I am looking to see if anyone has used this ferry to see what their experience was.

  5. Great info. My wife and I are sailing the breakaway in sept. with our 2 year old girl. We have cruised before but not since we had her. We fully understand this will be a different type of trip, and we are very ok with that. I wouldn't want to cruise without her! It's our family, and if things are not as late night crazy that's just fine with us.

We booked a nice big suite with a big balcony just so we would enjoy the extra time we will have in the cabin at night.

  6. Hey everyone. I'm going on the breakaway in sept and staying in an aft penthouse suite. I have never sailed with NCL before and had a question. We have other friends going on the same cruise that are not staying in the Haven.

Will they be able to come up to our room to meet up with us or is access restricted to haven guests only? From what I have read all of the haven "vip" areas seem to be in the forward part of the ship so I didn't know if there would be any limitations in the aft suites.
