  1. Hi all

Just about to take the plunge and make a booking for March 2009 on the Emerald Princess!

In your view, which deck is best for balcony cabins? Is there much difference between a BE,BD,BC cabin?

How about balcony furniture? Is it just a table and normal sitting chairs or do you have reclining chairs?

    Many thanks

If you are considering booking a BE, you might consider booking it as a guarantee. There are usually only 4 BE cabins on Princess' ships, therefore, you stand a good chance at an upgrade, especially booking a year ahead.

My personal favorite category on Princess is BB, larger balcony and partially covered. Great for sunning when you want a quiet place to go rather than by the pool.

    Good luck!

  2. Here are a couple of pictures. One is balcony cabin E-736, as taken from the aft balcony. The other is the Emerald aft balcony, as taken from E-736. The balcony curves around and you can see to the back. People on the aft balcony can also see around to your balcony. There's a door at the end of the hall to get to it. There are aft balconies on a few other decks. I don't remember exactly which ones (it's been over 4 years since our Coral cruise).

FYI - had we known about the aft balconies on the Coral, we would have booked an inside room. We could have saved $600/pp and still had a great view of the canal!
