  1. It really is a gamble for us. Like if I get seasick &/or need meds I can’t drink, obviously lol. Last time my husband got either food poisoning or a virus and was DONE drinking liquor for the rest of the trip. Another time we had a lovely 7 days and drank a lot. Plus got the good coffee in the morning and the good tea at bedtime, tons of bottled waters, and carried our own mixed drinks off the ship in yetis to save on drinks in port. I think we got our $ worth, but the port days make it a lot harder. If I go to anywhere all inclusive in port, by the time we get back to the ship I need water only for several hours lol. Cheers is a tough decision for me every single time. This past time we didn’t get it and ordered what we wanted as if we had the cheers package. We came out about even if I remember right. Either way there is pressure. Pressure to save $ and drink conservatively or pressure once you buy the package to drink your $ worth. 🤔🤔🤔

  2. Hey guys..we cruised on the Dream back in 2015 and had a bad experience (seasick, bad food, room attendant etc). For the ones that have been on both Dream and Breeze, are they super similar? I know they’re the same class but is it pretty much the same? We are booked on the Freedom right now but I can NOT decide if I should move us to the Breeze before she leaves Galveston!! Especially knowing that the Freedom is being dry docked in 2019. We could always take a Freedom cruise once she is updated. Maybe we should move to the Breeze? Same eastern Caribbean itinerary. What would you do?

  3. So easy to just hop on the tram and go to the beach! Then take a taxi back. There will be plenty behind the restaurants and the employees are happy to help you get one too. There are lots of pay as you go or unlimited bars/restaurants to choose from. You can reserve ahead of time or just show up. Big Mama's, Yaya's, Tropicante, Krazy Lobster to name a few.

  4. Not sure what they are expecting. Carnival doesn't control the weather. When the fog lifts and it's safe for the ship then it will move.

Well for example they would like to have been informed that the Port was closed today. The fog is mostly lifted and they understand that it isn't up to Carnival it is the Port of Galveston's call. But the captain has been pretty quiet. They are finding out more from message boards and people off the boat.

  5. In Costa Maya now they have a tram that takes you straight to the beach and restaurants. It's makes 3 stops along the little street where everything is. One stop (the second/middle one) is right at Big Mama's and Tropicante. It's $2 pp to get there then you grab a taxi for the way back. Both were very easy! They seem to have updated things quite a bit.
