Comments. Great view, covered balcony, some vibration

  2. I was on the Star and the thermal suite was $129 for one person or $199 a couple for the week. You had to purchase the entire week and we were told it was limited to 40 people. Interesting you said it was sold as an add on to spa services on the last day as my friend and I remarked it seemed extra busy the last day. Kind of disappointing to know they did that as it was quite crowded. The heated beds (or whatever they are called) are wonderful tho.

  3. I agree with those that said wait to book until you are on board and see the specials. That said I was able to take advantage of a special and cancel my appointment I had pre-booked. What I hated was the sell, sell, sell of their products.

  4. We had A726 on the star princess and the vibration was really noticeable at times. We joked that at times it was soothing and others quite annoying. I know it's not the same ship but maybe the cabin is in about the same spot

  5. This will be our second cruise to Alaska, traveling on the Star Princess

    Day 1 fly into Vancouver

    Day 2 depart

    Day 3 at sea

Day 4 Ketchikan, Bear Creek zip lining

Day 5 Juneau, Taku lodge and flight over glacier

Day 6 Skagway, no excursion yet. We've done the train and can't decide :/

Day 7 glacier bay national park cruising

Day 8 college fjord cruising - massage booked

Day 9 dock in anchorage, travel to talkeetna, river float trip

    Day 10 Talkeetna to Denali

    Day 11 Denali to Fairbanks

Day 12 Fairbanks to home, actually won't get home until day

  6. I'm also wondering about the bear creek zip lining. Would love to hear what it is really like. It's marked as "strenuous" on the princess shore excursions. Just what is strenuous about it as it says it's for families and first time zip liners.

    TIA!
