  1. We had NORMA as our guide. She was freindly and informative, and she explained a few things about BODDEN TOURS...

She said the guides work on a rotating basis, so she works about once every 30 days. They use thier OWN vehicles, and it makes a really good part time job.

This would explain why some guides are very good - so you will pass the word along and ask for them by name so they can work more days in a month.

  2. Hello

We are trying to get a group together for this sailing and have spent HOURS and hours reading through all these posts to get selling points.

This kind of information is priceless! it's like having an extended family that cruises all the time and writes down what they did. It creates shortcuts to fun during the one week on the ship - why not get the most out of your cruise?

THANK YOU to all who have posted, especially to those that included links! It will make our cruise that much better!

  3. Another option if you are considering bidding on a hotel:

    biddingfortravel.com

it lists recent bids accepted and rejected, and has a list of what priceline considers 3* 2* etc listed by the area... this gives you an idea of what hotel you would get if you bid in that category....

a few years ago before a cruise out of Miami I saw that the Hyatt by the port was accepting bids of $35 a night... (yes... $35 a night...) we enjoyed that a BUNCH knowing how much we saved!

I'm watching this thread for an upcoming cruise out of Tampa NOV 30 - Carnival Legend. I'm working on a group deal if anyone else here is interested....
