My friend is booking via online ta - been told its $1000pp deposit for ovation. Anyone else been told this? Legit ta she has used several times before.

I have just booked the 10 day cruise to New Zealand, departing on the 30 December.

I booked the cruise with CruiseAbout here in Australia and only had to pay $200 deposit!

Just received an email from RCL confirming the itineraries set out in my post yesterday. With Ovation spending a short time in Australia prices will probably be high. I know they stated that prices would start at $199 twin share for an inside cabin in their promotions. A number of people have told my local travel agent that they want to book, regardless of the price.

Thanks. I don't doubt the itineraries are correct, just wanted to make sure bookings hadn't opened overseas early etc. ;)

 

Maybe the poster TomataoSauce may have been referring to the cruises from Europe & not the Sydney ones as having scary prices?

No information on prices. Only know the dates.

Doubtful as it has been out of service for online bookings all day - message to that effect on the bottom of every page.

 

Also, no way it should be available to book prior to when they said otherwise what was the whole point of the sign up for the pre launch info?

Information is from a reliable source. Bookings start on Thursday as stated by RCL.

Here is the Itinerary for Ovation of the Seas first visit to Australian Waters in 2016-2017!

There are three cruises to New Zealand from Sydney and then a repositioning cruise from Sydney to Singapore. No cruises to the Pacific Islands or any other destination!

Here they are:

15 December 2016 -New Zealand Cruise for 15 days:

Sydney overnight, Hobart, Milford/Doubtful/Dusky Sound, Dunedin, Wellington, Picton, Tauranga, Auckland, Sydney.

30 December 2016 - New Zealand Cruise for 10 days:

Sydney, Milford/Doubtful/Dusky Sound, Dunedin,Wellington, Napier,

Picton, Sydney.

9 January 2017 - New Zealand Cruise for 14 days:

Sydney, Bay of Islands, Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Dunedin, Dusky/ Doubtful/ Milford Sound, Sydney.

23 January 2017 - Asia Repositioning from Sydney for 14 days:

Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Singapore.
