  1. Hi , we have been with Carnival twice & are booked on MSC Seaview in October, can anyone tell me how the MSC ships compare to Carnival ? Food , family friendly , british friendly ?...

The Merglavinia was docked behind us in Malta last week it looked fab.

    Thank you in advance

  2. Morning all ,

WE are going on the Azura - CarribeanDecember 2017( our 1st P&O cruise) , just wondered what Christmas Day was like onboard ? We have 10 year old twins with us ..... can anyone help

    Thank you

  3. Here are my 6 cents worth.

Extension Cord(s)... both my DW and I have CPAP's

Outlet extenders so you have enough outlets for all your gear

Over the door organizer. Never thought we would use it but it comes in handy.

    Magnets (Cabin walls are metal)

A new one for me on our first Princess Cruise (Regal) an old hotel card for the lighting slot inside the door. (learned that tidbit on here)

Half the stuff you want to pack you don't need

    More Money then you think

Casino and Booze expensive so plan accordingly

    Comfortable Walking Shoes

Let the staff pamper you and thank them for doing so.

Don't be afraid to plan nothing for a port. We sometimes just get off the ship and enjoy what we can walk to. Just make sure you know if you CAN walk to things from the ship before hand.

My personal favorite and what I remind my self every time we start a cruise:

When you step on board, take a breath and let the relaxation begin. Don't stress the small things and just enjoy the ship, ports and all the new and interesting things you will see and do!

I have often told people who ask why I like cruising that for me when we step on board its kind of like you hand the keys to the captain and say your in charge and I don't have to worry about anything. (or not much anyway lol) Most relaxing vacations ever for me!

    Enjoy and Happy Cruising

PS this is a great thread. Really enjoyed reading through it. Thanks!

Love this advise thank you !!

  4. Here's a pic from my Interior on the Breeze. Unlike Club Disney Chandler, who had a sofa bed & a pullman, we had 2 pullmans and no sofa bed. Our kids loved sleeping up top, but we found it rather cramped to get in & out of the lower bed.

I love the interior rooms, since they provide total darkness for sleeping. It doesn't matter what time of day or night it is, you will not be bothered by any light, which I love. The only other downside (aside from difficulty getting in & out of bed) to our room was it's location. 2209, being low and all the way forward, meant we heard & felt the bow thrusters during dockings. During early morning dockings, it was impossible to sleep thru.

Thank you so much for putting this picture on - we've got an interior cabin , 2 adults & 9 year old twins , we've never been on one before ….. excited now ….
