  1. We visited Harvest Cayenne in March, 2018. We are in our early 70s and have cruised 40+ times over the years. It was a pleasant surprise, with an immaculate, pristine beach, and fabulous pool. Lounge chairs around the pool are covered, food service is provided, and there are misters everywhere. the pool has a swim up bar. All is very convenient. This is the first time we chose not to even go to the beach as it was so comfortable around the pool. You cannot take food or drink from the ship, and it must be purchased there.

  2. We're eyeballing our options for next year, and it's down to MSC and NCL if we want to try anything new. We still love the Lido food options on Carnival like Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana, the comedy clubs and the Alchemy Bar, but overall we liked our first cruise on Oasis of the Seas far better. So much to do, better service, nicer ship, and lots of eats as well. Some people complained about the dinner options, but we never went hungry.

Any letdowns or surprises with MSC, or with our taste would we be better off trying NCL first?

We have been on four MSC cruises. All have been far above the experiences that we have had on RCL. Entertainment is fabulous, service is fabulous, and food is excellent. Already booked for another cruise. MSC is a well-kept secret.

  3. After reading the information about the 5% discount according to level, we called our travel agent. Best price cruises told us that our 5% discount was automatically given when our voyager number was put in. Be sure to check that this is considered when you put your past passenger number in.
