When I sailed the Fascination we were in E86 and did not hear anything. I booked my room this trip in almost the exact same area, we love being so close to everything and really enjoy the atrium bar.

I am thinking that we will arrive early on Sunday morning, maybe 7:00 AM. But I really don't know.

I just walked around the outside promenade deck for the first time on this cruise.

 

The conditions were normal. No rain, clam seas, and breezy, with an overcast.

 

We are just below Florida, about 1000 miles to Baltimore.

 

I'm thinking that we may be able to outrun the hurricane.

 

It will probably be raining when we arrive in Baltimore.

Finally found what I had thought I had read earlier.

• VPN connections are not supported - discuss your VPN limitations with your company’s IT department if you are planning to work while sailing. We are not able to change your settings onboard.
  

I was hoping I was wrong. Most likely if you are in a public place, you will not be able to use VPN as it is not considered secure. Hopefully they can adjust the window for you.

I am going October 4th, I hope we do not get stuck in half moon cay for a week that would be terrible ...

Oh dear, all that terrible scenery would be tortuous for sure! :p

I do not believe that they support VPN, you may be out of luck.

As a side note, I can't believe you worked a 24 hour shift! We can also be mandated to stay, but they only make us do a 16 on the neuro unit I work on. Is this common where you live?

Hey I've never got the "upgrade" or "upsell" call ... but I assume to take advantage of the upsell I would need to provide my credit card number during that call????? I'd be leery of doing that over the phone? Or do they just add the upcharge to my S&S account once I'm there? How does that work???

I was simply asked if I wanted to put it on the visa xxxx or mastercard xxxx. Never had to give the number, they have it on record.

It was a great call, very happy with my upgrade!

I got an upgrade call last week for my 7 day Pride cruise in October. I had a standard balcony and was upgraded to an ocean suite for 210 pp. That was half the price of what it would have cost me if I had originally booked the room. The call came from 305, Miami. I was very excited to get the call and it was worth the price for the suite to me.

Oh no! You haven't been back to finish since June? It's like being stood up on a date. I was totally into your review as we prepare for our first Carnival

cruise and on Pride. And then, you dumped me not even via text or email. You just left me sitting at the bar hoping you would show up! Lol

 

Even still, I appreciate your review. You and wife seem to vacation like us which includes drinking. We are going in Sept and plan to take the 15 and 17 y/o boys next June. I'm pretty sure they will eat at Guy's every meal!

 

So thank you...and hopefully you will call and we can finish this review!!!! Lol
