Was hoping more for the concierge's name, but wanted to see if I recognized the butlers as well.
On the Pearl two weeks ago, the concierge was Yahira. She was fantastic. She Made all the reservations, etc that we asked her to and she followed up on many of them to make sure that everything met our expectations. Our butler was Richard and he was also great. He checked in with us regularly and again all of our requests were met with a smile. We had him serve several meals in the suite. After shore excursions he would have our lunch ready to be served. The other butler in the haven area was JonJon. While he was not our butler, I know he would be great. He was just recently promoted to butler. We had previously met him when he was the valet in the haven and he was exceptional. This staff make the two week cruise and amazing experience. We hope to meet Yahira, Richard and JonJon on future cruises.

We are sailing on the Down in two weeks, the repositioning cruise. Any info as to who the hotel director and the concierge are would be appreciated. TIA.

Does anyone know if the new suite breakfast and lunch menu is rolled out on the Gem yet?

Just returned from the Gem 7 day trip to the Bahamas and stayed in the Deluxe Owners Suite, 15000. Any questions I can help with?
We will be on the Gem in early October. Who was your concierge and do you know if he/she will be still there in October?
Thanks

We have a chance to have him then. :D We will be in a deck 9 owners suite and my parents will be in the connecting forward penthouse. That is great that you have so much info on his schedule. :D So if my math is correct it will be his first week on deck 9.
This would be our first time having a repeat of a butler. So do you know if he will have all the deck 9 suites or just the front or just the back? Thanks for all your help. :D:D
I don't know if he will be the only one or not. There were two in the haven, Roland and Jennifer. So if there are a comparable number of suites on 9 as there are in the haven then I would think there would be two. Enjoy your cruise.

We just got off of the Jewel last week. Bruno was the concierge and Roland was our butler. Roland has quite a while left on his contract. He was in the haven but was rotating to night butler for two weeks, then deck nine suites for 2 weeks, followed by deck 10 for 2 and then back to the haven. Bruno had just came to the Jewel so I would expect him to be there for a while. If you are in the haven you will find the Haven Valet, Jon, to be a really nice addition for your cruise. He will serve breakfast and lunch in the haven for you using the standard suite menu from Modernos. Bruno, Roland and Jon made our cruise very special.

Curious who the current concierge is on the Jewel? We will be on her in a few weeks and are lucky enough to be living the suite life again! :D
Bruno is the current Concierge. He is excellent.

I hope we get Jennifer as our butler. Been use to having great concierges (Florentina, Anoop, Virginia....) Will be hard not to expect the kind of service they have provided. But it will take more than a less attentive concierge to ruin the cruise.

Does anyone know who the concierge on the Jewel is? we are sailing in less than a month. Thanks

John D'Souza, Virginia and Florentina are at the top of our list of the concierges. All three are great. But Karabi is at the absolute bottom of the list. The only time you would see her was if you either went into the lounge at breakfast time or was at one of the parties where she was a hostess. She did the absolute minimum required. My wife got a sliver that was an inch long in her foot from wood on the balcony. When we got no answer on the phone for the medical office, we called Karabi to see what we should do. Her reply was we should just go down to the Medical office. we expected that she was locating the Doctor. My wife, painfully, walked to the medical office where the door was locked. After waiting some time, a crew member walking by, asked what the problem was, got on the phone, and had a Doctor there immediately.

We have been cruising twice a year for the last several years and all have been on NCL. Our First cruise was with them and we have been loyal ever since. If this change is truly implemented as it is now stated we will be definitely looking at changing cruise lines after the the two cruise that we now have booked. This just changes the whole dynamics of the experience. We typically do one 7 day and one longer repositioning cruise each year. As platinum members we get two free meals each trip in La Bistro and we generally will eat in the other specialty restaurants several times on each trip. If we were to Continue with NCL that number will be reduced.

If you want to cash out your left over OBC you can do it at the casino. They charge 3% but I prefer cash for all my purposes. Just throwing an option out there for you.
unfortunately the Pride of America does not have a casino, so we would be unable to do that

I understand that you can go to the service desk and have OBC credited to the butler and concierges' accounts. When you do this do you get any paper or card that you can give to the butler or concierge that shows that you have done this or is it just that they will get notice from NCL that it has been done?
