  1. I did a quick search on Google and it says there is a $50 charge per person which would be fine if we have to use it? My wife’s 99-year-old grandfather just went in the hospital tonight, just over two days before we are supposed to leave for a cruise this coming Sunday at 4 PM. So if there is ability to move a cruise to a future date with a fee, it might be worth using? Can’t find anything on their website so if someone knows any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Of course their hours are 9 AM to 9 PM (closed). Thanks

  2. Lcookie, thanks for the information I was planning on doing the zip line but was curious if they would allow you to take your phone for pics or a video ? I’m sure if you have to be in some sort of case with a lanyard or a strap around your wrist that may work, if not you could definitely do a helmet Mount GoPro ?

  3. My question is, when you bid is it the new total price you’re bidding or just an additional add-on price to get the aurea experience? We currently have a deluxe balcony currently booked for an upcoming cruise on MSC in October in what I consider to be a pretty good location. I get an offer to upgrade to an Aurea balcony with a minimum bid price that is about 1/3 of the price that I paid for the deluxe balcony. So I’m confused if they’re just offering me this cheaper price on top of what I’ve already paid for my balcony to get the add-on experience or is that if I were to win the whole price and they would refund the original charge? Thanks hope this makes sense?

  4. Travelandleisure85,

Thanks so much for the great and very thorough review, had some great info. I was curious about some of the features on the ship such as the bowling and Formula One simulator and interactive theater, but didn’t see a way to purchase a fun pass? Did you purchase it through the website or by calling?  So if you buy a $80 fun pass and get $140 worth of use, how much are each of the things or do you know? Say for example if you want to bowl game is it $20 a game or $10?

Also where do you have to go to book a bowling lane in advance on the ship? Thanks in advance for any info.

I just posted a request for info on the fun pass in the main MSC forum, was surprised to see when I searched nothing came up, so I found the review very helpful.

  5. Excuse me if this has been asked before,  I did a search and nothing came up, sort of surprised me? I saw a few things in ship features on MSC seaside that looked fun, such as bowling, a Formula One simulator, and some sort of interactive theater, apparently you can access these things only if you have a fun pass? How much does a fun pass cost for a seven night cruise and where would you purchase it?  I didn’t see any ability to purchase it before cruise on the MSC website? Thanks

  6. I just sent a screenshot of my carnival platinum page and was matched within 24 hours to gold 4300 points.

I think some people with issues, just have to follow the instructions on the MSC status match page, make sure your picture isn’t too large, and make sure it’s in one of the three formats they except such as PDF etc.

  7. I can also confirm that it seems to just be a website glitch. Just go by what is shown on your E ticket for your cruise, they are usually sent out around 20 days before your cruise, (there is a search feature so if you just type in dining you’ll be able to easily find your dining time.) I selected early when booking and that’s what came on my e-ticket but my info on the website says no dining time selected. So for anyone else wondering about this, I would disregard what’s on the website and go what you have in print as others have stated.

  8. I just got off the sunshine September 2018, I was talking to one of the higher ups on the ship and he said that one of the big projects was that a lot of the pipes were going to be replaced, I presume plumbing as that one of the problems that I've heard about, although we were pretty lucky and experienced nothing more than a slow drain which was cleared once we told our room steward know about it, in addition to the pipes I heard just the basics like paint and carpet and most likely mattresses etc. but he didn't mention anything about the seafood shack, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen, but I agree with many of the others there's not a lot of room to put it.

  9. So if I want to use multiple cards to pay for my carnival cruise can I do it online or do I have to call someone from Carnival and go through each one of the cards? assuming I was paying say $1000, I would have to have 10 x $100 cards, am I able to enter in each one in the payment area online and watch my balance go down by 100 per entry?

Ps. On the AARP site last night I only saw $100 cards available no 500 .

    Thanks

  10. It looks like both places are still offering an all-inclusive packages and both are competitively priced at $55 each. I did a quick web search and looked on both of their websites. But if anyone has been to either of these places during 2015 an update on crowds, drinks, and food, as well as possible entertainment there such as water toys etc. would be appreciated. Thanks

  11. My other half and I have been on 13 previous Carnival cruises, we've been to Paradise Beach at least nine or 10 times. I'm looking for something else maybe Nachi or Mr. Sanchos? Any updates on pricing or crowds etc. would be appreciated.:)
