Please provide details the ship had a issue with a COLT causing issues on the ship and had the fly upper management in to handle the problem??

My wife and I would love to play golf in Sicily. I'm sure one of you may have planned this from one of the ports that Windstar docks. (Giardino, Catania, Porto Empedoclo and Trapani) Please let me know the port, distance to the course from the dock and golf course)

The drink package is aways a topic on this forum. Just enjoy your vacation! You have your health and wealth. After dinner the crowd at the bar are my people I enjoy the jokes and stories about the grandkids. What WS charges me for the package I don't focus on the cost I focus on the benefits I get. So if you have the cash I'm sure you do your on WS. Pay Up and enjoy yourself (alway remember you can't take it with you).

My wife and I are fans of Windstar. 4 trips and I hoping for many more.  But I have a question "What is a good deal" Last week Windstar ran a promotion  (was it a good deal - for who Windstar or the customer?) Thursday sales ? What I see is Windstar trying to sell the smallest cabins at going rates. 

I understand Windstar is in a cash crunch! But don't sell it like its the best deal you will ever get don't pass it up. 

I follow this forum so i know we will get the stories about the most unbelievable deal of a life time. Windstar almost payed me to take the cruise story. So lay the deal out and we can all pick it apart fairly and honestly.

My Wife and I had a wonderful trip planned from Rome to Venice.  3 days in Rome before getting on the Windstar Breeze. Then 3 days in Venice. Now at home like everyone else. I canceled last month and Windstar put the money back on my card in 2 weeks. American Airlines refunded the money in 3 weeks. So I have no issues I think canceling before the time limited of 120 days from sailing helped me.

My wife and I love Windstar. The issues I see is people who don't go direct and think a travel agent can do a better deal? I hope for and the employees of Windstar stay healthy and I'm back on board in 2021. 

Now I see a TA gets there commission. That was the reason for the slow down. Why does anyone use them anymore? Go direct better service great company.

Did you have trip insurance?

Made friends with a couple the wife was on the Windstar WIFI every morning no one on the WIFI she got through to her company, So great system when no ones on. 

Arrive at your port find a Bar with a sign that says FREE WIFI turn your phone on and text or call home. Works for me.

The Movie is held in the Theatre and is a National Geographic 2 hour doc about the making of the Panama canal. Starts with the French and all the problems they had with the mosquito. Then Stevens and Goethals all Black and White movies of the construction and workers. Great Movie. 

PS - Drink package on this forum is always a topic. Someone starts with a thread about the expense and pro's and con's.  So from a experienced Windstar customer I have and observation. People who have the drink package will be at the Bar before and after dinner talking about there adventures. So its about 20 people give and take having some laughs and discussing grandkids and stories about other trips. People tend to gather in groups with common interests. I still play golf with someone I met on our last cruise. It's a choose. I like it. 

My wife and I did this trip in Feb 2019. (Third Windstar adventure) Flew into San Jose stayed at the Hyatt for two nights. Trip to Irazu then to the Hot springs for an afternoon of drinking and eating great day. Trip to the dock interesting a lot on hills and mountains. 

Ship was great crew great. went zip lining day one next day Kayaking for 6 hours into the forest. Great day. 

Then the Inland party. Met some nice people Yoga on the beach reading drink some beer. 

Then to the Panana Canal full day ( Go the watch the movie at night after dinner. Well worth it. Great story. ) 

Thats about it just Joy. PS get the drink package ITS your vacation. Relax enjoy.

I'm a Windstar Cruise fan. My feeling this is my vacation I will pay for a beverage plan. I'll enjoy a drink at lunch, dinner or just looking at the city we're at. Pay for a beverage plan and enjoy yourself. (unless you don't drink)

First, Happy New Year to all the Windstar fans. I'm looking for the travelers who are going on the March 2018 Marvels of China cruise. I have several questions about when to book my trip, flight and hotel. Prices decline every month. After are cruise we want to go to Xian any suggestions on train or flight to get there. Where to stay when in Xian?

Also, when you get back in March lets us know how it went. We've been on 2 Windstar cruises and loved every second of are trips.

First time traveling with Windstar. We wanted to do the excursion (by bus) to Florence but it's canceled. How do we get to Florence... by bus, cab, share a ride? Best way please. If we don't go to Florence any suggestions as to what we can do in Portovenere?

Also, when we arrive in Rome we are staying at the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel . What is the best way to get there from the airport?

Were new to Windstar the excursion to Florence was canceled. How do we get to Florence. Should we go on are own.

My husband and I are going from Rome to Nice the first week in October. Are there any excursions offered that we "should not miss?" We are trying to decide

which, if any, we should book ahead.
