Hi, Ive been to Silver Cove several times already.  Two things to consider: 1. The lagoon villas have a nicer, larger water area and located right near the Moet Chandon bar which os great if you have the higher level drink package as the drinks there are almost all up charges.
2.  But it is not a full bar so the servers need to go to the Ocean side to get frozen pina coladas etc.  They will be happy to do so but the drinks are almost always "unfrozen" by the time they return.    
     My advice is lagoon view for an UNBEATABLE view and swimming area, but if drinks are the priority select the ocean villa.  Both have access to the special dining area and you can walk around and enjoy either beach and bar area.  All photos from the lagoon side.

The Vibe out of Miami this week was $209.  Same price that its been for a while.

Dont make comments about services provided if you dont know. There were only 25 passes sold on the TA Maiden sailing of the Encore.  The next revenue sailing is Sunday. They have increased the staff proportionate to the number of passes.  To imply they cant give personalized service is premature.  Dont buy a Vibe pass on the Encore. We wont miss you. And I was one of the 25 that bought a pass for the TA sailing and Ill be running to get one this Sunday ( even as a platinum plus guest with priority boarding).  Ill be happy to revisit this page when you have real experiences or information to base your comments on.   

My two weeks were very different. The first week was spent with adult friends and the second was with my sister and her 4 year old. It was like night and day. Ive been to Bermuda several times so went with the flow with the adults. My sister played in a cas sponsored golf tournament the second week so I had my niece most of the time in Bermuda. We enjoyed a glass bottom boat snorkeling tour which was perfect for her and swam with the dolphins at the dockyard (lame compared to my other dolphin swims but perfect for a 4 year old). I spent most of my sea days in the Vibe. It was my 13th and 14th time sailing on the Escape and I cant say enough about the quality of service (obviously). Im actually sad that the Escape left Miami as it was my go to ship but am not a big fan of the NYC crowds on ships but most importantly plan my cruises around sunshine. (I live in NJ and am not knocking NYC residents but find that there are usually large groups sailing out of NY combined with all the cas guests out of Atlantic City and it makes for a different crowd than Miami) I eat at specialty dining and am a “plain” eater so cant get into a food review. I enjoy my cocktails and am not a gambler. I just cant say enough about the level of service on this ship.

You could smoke in Vibe on the Getaway as of last November and the Escape as of the November before.

I have to respectfully disagree. Been on the Escape 12 times ( first sailing a month after she sailed maiden voyage) and in the Vibe every time. I would not stay if there was smoking. Im a cancer survivor and cant be around smoke.

I have had Thanksgiving dinner on the Escape. It was one of the best turkey dinners ever. Save the specialty dining for another night as the mdr was excellent. Do whatever you can to get a reservation as the large tables go fast.

I have seen the door security agents turn passengers with large suitcases away at several ports. They had to go back and give the bags to the porters. The suitcase has to fit in the x-ray scanners. Again, the real question is the size of the machines. Im sure somebody on this site has the EXACT dimensions. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

Just got home from NOLA. I stayed at the DoubleTree on Canal street. Walked 4 blocks to the convention center (a block from pier) or 4 blocks the other way to Bourbon street. Great location, great price, restaurant and coffee shop as well as good customer service.

The solo room prices show up if you default the number of passengers to 1. The staterooms wont show if its listed as 2 or more as its not an option. Also these rooms are only available on Breakaway, Getaway, Escape, and Bliss.

I am a Disney freak. I go at least once a month and have an annual pass. Ive rented a car and enjoyed the parks but I know exactly what I want to do and have advance fastpasses. It was nerve wracking making sure that I made it back in time. The families on the ship who took the excursion (and busses go to all 4 parks) were disappointed. They had no advance fast passes and only got to ride a few things. If the high cost is worth a few rides and taste of Disney; go for it with the expectations to see a few things.
