    Outstand Service Always

    Reviewed yesterday

I have been using Rome In Limo for over 10 years. Jany and her team are absolutely fantastic. I literally cannot say enough good things about the Company and their Service. Outstanding guides for both the Vatican and the Collseum, Their guides and drivers are so kind, knowledgeable and always on time.

Thank you once again Jany and Francesco for a wonderful visit to Italy.

  2. I had several Crystal Cruises planned this year and have cancelled due to Crystal's situation.

I can choose Celebrity's new Edge or Azamara Onward for two Mediterranean cruises - one in June and another in October.

I have sailed before on Celebrity when I went with my family years ago - but have only sailed on the Luxury lines like Silversea, Seabourn, Regent.

So would greatly appreciate any feedback on how perhaps Azamara might compare to the other lines I have sailed or would Celebrity be a better choice because it is brand new.

    Thanks Cindy

A few weeks back, on a Facebook live event, Barbara Muckerman had mentioned that after the first few cruises, they were planning on opening up to 75%. It might be that people are more hesitant to cruise at the moment. I am on the 8/17 Silver Moon sailing and am eager to see how many people will be on board, but based on information from recent cruisers and other COVID-related news, the ship(s) may not see 75% for a while.

Was told yesterday that 75% was the number they were hoping for but had not booked nearly close to that.  I join the July 28 cruise - have sailed SS for over 20 years.

Hi Cindy, I don't want to make a promise I cannot keep so no promises about flights or anything else tomorrow.  I will see if there is a possibility of the hotel having computers available and if not, the postings will come after I board the ship. The only electronics I carry is a phone.......and its a PITA typing on there.

Thanks Lois and no problem whenever you can please post about it.  I don't leave until July 24.  And most importantly HAVE FUN.

I just got some new sunscreen👍.....and once again Spins, thanks for all your updates. It really is appreciated.   I will be sitting in the shade A LOT........🙂

Lois - Have a wonderful flight - please post about your Flight tomorrow and what you needed to get on the plane - just a Vaccine Card and The Form -or something else

    Thanks Cindy

  6. Have had the Owners Suite on Multiple Cruises in our 23 years of cruising with SS.  Obviously it is the best and comes with complimentary laundry, pressing, canapes in your room and your choice of full bar.  Let me know any specifics you are looking for.  You will enjoy   We too have been on RSSC.

I used to live in Jupiter FL. I also still own an investment property there and my daughter rents from me.

I came to CO initially to get out of the Summer heat. Now, I am here full time.

You live in a lovely part of FL. :))

We are very fortunate to live in Jupiter - we absolutely love it.  We live in an area with thousands of acres of private preserves and wildlife.  We used to have a home in Carbondale Colorado and loved having both Florida and Colorado.

Lufthansa does not require a Covid test if you are vaccinated…but I am getting a PCR anyway 72 hours prior to departure as a precaution. Who routed you thru Canada? Your TA or Silversea?

I was on Luftansa last month going to Kenya for Safari and we definitely had to have a Covid PCR test but that was for Frankfurt and Kenya.    Every destination seems different now.  I was flying Delta today to Utah but asked what their requirements were for Greece and they said Vaccine Card and the Form.  Air Canada was literally next to my check in but no one was there since I was checking in at 5:30 am.

I chose Air Canada because I used my Points for Business Class tickets.  Great Flights going - using Delta returning home.

Just a vaccination card. No covid test is needed.  You need to fill out the PLF that the Greek Government is asking for as well.  Did you ask me about this a couple of weeks ago? Or was that someone else?  Greece is not requiring a test if you have been vaccinated and all SS guests are required to be vaxxed so it is all good😃

Thanks Lois and yes I did .  But I got mixed responses from Air Canada which I am flying from Ft. Lauderdale.  Site says nothing but Vac Card but agent said I needed Covid test - so that is why I asked.  I called again and was told just the Vac Card and the Form.

Thank you😃.......I think I will pinch myself a couple of times once I board that ship😉........I know everyone has their own views/opinions on what has happened to the world over the past year and 1/2. Time is such a funky thing....18 months of basically doing........I don't want to say nothing but for me, it has been much of that.  My retirement came in Dec 2019 and the "BIG RETIREMENT TRIP" was supposed to take place in April 2020......30 day trip...of course that went into Covidland. 😮 and I was hospitalized 3 times last year (NOT from Covid).  So quite a year.👎

Now it is June 2021......let us hope things go smoother for all of us.  8 days to sailing and 6 to fly out to Athens.  My health is better👍 and ready to sail!!!!

Lois - On your flight are you required to get a Covid Test or just Show you Vaccine Card - especially when you land in Athens?

Hi Cindy, I have been out of town or I would have replied sooner.  Just got home today.

The letter I received says embarkation begins at 2:00pm.  I don't know when this will change but for the time being, I would think for these summer sailings it will stay this way.

Hi Lois - I received the same letter embarkation begins at 2:00 pm.

I do not know if all pax passed the test.

It was conducted in a tent building.

    It was very hot.

There were three swabber people in full protective gear in separate cubicles.

I wont describe it all unless you really want to know the procedure.

We waited an hour in that tent before we received our negative results.

By the time we got aboard it was 3:30 pm ( we were not permitted to enter the tent area until 2 pm).

A very very long and exhausting first day.

I might add the airport procedure to enter Greece was a breeze. Just had to show fax card and the locator number.

We are flying Air Canada from Florida.  I just want to confirm that all you had to show was your Vaccination Card or is there a certificate that must be obtained where we were vaccinated and the Greece Health Form

There is no dollar limit, but there a suite limitations (generally something like midship verandah).  You can chose any cruise for which you have not already paid in full -- even cruises where you have only a deposit.  You are of course not limited to a seven day cruise.  It's seven days of free cruising.  I am always on longer cruises.  If, say, I apply a seven day certificate to a 21 day cruise, they discount the fare by 33%.

Thank you so much.  I knew you could extend the days and pay the difference I just did not know if you could choose any cruise any location.

As Spins mentioned and actually those folks sailing on the Moon, we all received an email about the new boarding time.  Yes, it is nice to board earlier but I really don't think it is a big deal. (Just my opinion).  They are trying to do everything to keep all of us as safe as possible in these extraordinary times.

Spins mentioned it earlier in this thread.......I am sure the earlier boarding will be back.

Lois can you tell me what the letter said as far as times to board.  As I noted before I am on the July 28 cruise and am doing independent hotels, tours and transfers so would like to arrange my transfers to the ship - what is the earliest we can board.

    Thanks Cindy

Hi Cindy,  per the Greek government.....you need your vaccination card. No test is needed as long as you have that card.   There is a form you must fill out before flying over there.......this is mandatory.

    Here is a link:

    https://travel.gov.gr/#/

Thank you Lois for your reply.  When I spoke to SS I was told we would need a Negative PCR test to enter.  There is so much misinformation.

I would love to hear from those of you who are on the ship now and exactly what you did - just have your vaccine card or have a PCR test with you.

    thanks Cindy

  16. I have used Rome In Limo for well over 5 years plus.  Each and every Private Tour has been exceptional.  High quality guides and drivers.  I spent 4 days in Rome last week and used their services 3 times.  A Private tour of Rome, A private tour of Umbria and a Private Vatican guide.  All well worth the cost.  I cannot state enough how wonderful working with Jany at Rome In Limo has been.  She answers my questions immediately and always professional and friendly.
