  1. Accessible cabins are for people who REALLY NEED one! People who just decide to take another cabin instead DO NOT NEED an accessible cabin! I am a full time wheelchair user and cannot walk, i need a bigger door, a roll in shower and more space to move around the bed! I cannot decide to just take another cabin! I checked 10 cruise for november and NONE had a free accessible cabin! And this was not the first time this happend! I am pretty sure most of people who book accessible cabins don't really need them...

I am really disappointed and angry to hear such statements...

  2. hello everybody

we would like to spend a day on one of the wonderful beaches of antigua. because i am wheelchair dependant it is not that easy...

one option is to take a daypass from jolly beach hotel or pineapple beach hotel so we can use the hotel facilities (toilets etc). but it is quite expensive with $75 per person. $150 for 4 - 5 hrs beach time is quite a lot!

do you have any hints where else to go? or at least: would it be worth spending the 75 bugs?

the access to the beach must not have deep steps from the pathway to the sand and need to have shadow.

    thanks very much! :)

  3. hello everybody

we come to antigua and aruba in october. we want to spend a day at this wonderful beaches.

could you give me an advice, which is the best beach in antigua with shadow, accessible toilets etc? heard about getting a day pass at jolly beach resort. but its quite expensive with 75 $ per person... is it worth it?

how are beaches in aruba? do you maybe have some advices for beaches there?

thank you very much for your answers!

  4. hello kbset

i just come across your msg. i have osteogenesis imperfecta as well (fully dependent on a wheelchair) and i just wanted to ask you how your cruise went with your little daughter :)

interesting question with the craddle and the "bathing-problem". never thought about that this can be one of the many problems travelling with a little child! (as i have no children by myself :D)

and especially i wanted to congratulate you for your courage to travel with your daughter at that little age! often parents with "brittle bone children" do not dare to travel or try something "not exactly planable", especially the first years :)

all the best wishes for all of your family!
