Thank you everyone for advice. Have joined the FB group. Tui have started their river cruises. We are booked for Christmas markets five days. We love Christmas markets & going to different ones each day appealed to us.

Has anyone done a river cruise with Tui. Booked for Christmas markets this year & wondering if anyone had any experience

Thanks everyone for your help. Looking closely at photos the front rooms on deck 2 seem to have port holes but midships seem to have picture windows. Guess we will have to pay the room booking fee to get one midships 

Looking to go on Discovery 2 in January and likely to book outside cabin on 2/3. Can anyone tell me which ones have picture window as would prefer this to a port hole

Oh we were planning on dropping our bags the night before too, have hotel nearby booked to have a longer lie in!

Has anyone been on Thomson Majesty recently that can clarify if you have to pay for Baileys when on the AI package. It would be great if anyone has a recent copy of the drinks menu for Thomson Majesty

Oh thanks the last AI menu I saw showed you had to pay for Baileys

Thanks love to have a G & T but don't want to pay extra for the mixer, will not need to get these for room. Will probably buy some Baileys at the airport in UK.

do they have slimline tonic water free on the AI package

Hi all read loads of things on here and we head off on Thursday for our first cruise. We are flying to Dubrovnik and get taken to the ship. We have booked online have our boarding passes but no luggage labels do we get them at the Thompson desk in Gatwick airport?

When we get to the ship do we have to queue to get on board, what do we need apart from confirmation & passports?

Thanks Crusin Linda for the information about the prices of alcohol. Thanks gillhalfpint for letting me know about taking drink back on board. Vitalsign thanks for the heads up about duty free shop, we are only interested in alcohol, never smoked. Pensioncruiser and Vitalsign we are in 206 so hopefully will not get too much noise or vibrations.

So excited only 22 days now, looking at a lot of youtube videos but a lot are American presenters. Have some great ideas from this forum of what to pack and take.

Thanks for the clear review and the photos. Looking forward to our first cruise just 25 days to go. Been looking at reviews, what to take and questions and answers, my husband thinks I am possessed by this cruise! But I want to be prepared so great to have some info from your review and photos.

I have read conflicting reviews about taking on alcohol, we have not booked a drinks package as rather expensive and although we really like our alcohol I don't think we would be able to justify the cost especially when you have to pay a surcharge for most drinks. Anyway back to my question can you take on alcohol if yes how much. Many on here say yes but Thomson say no, do you have to hide it if you can take it.
