  1. Just got off the Ecstasy today. Several different bars and a few nightclubs. There is a piano bar (Neon Bar) in the Atrium area on deck 8 that is open from 9:30pm to Late. Stripes is located Deck 9 Promenade aft and was open 10:30 pm to late with DJ Miguel playing 80's and 90's flashback music.. The Metro bar is the casino bar where smoking is permitted where there is trivia during the day and bands played nightly from about 8:45 pm on. The Rolls Royce bar had pre dinner music from 5:15 to 6:00 pm. Chinatown bar deck 9 mid is the place for Karaoke and was crowded every night and goes from 8:45pm to late. The Society Bar deck 9 aft in front of the Punchliner Comedy club is a nice lounge to sit and chill with cocktails and they show most sports there. Showed soccer, the NBA finals and College baseball super regionals. The atrium bar has entertainment, mostly acoustic guitar or calypso music.

    Hope this was helpful....

Thanks~! Works for me - sailing out on Monday 6/20!!!!

  2. We just got back from our cruise. We booked the day pass through the shore excursioneer website. They did look at our paper when we got to the gate. You have to pay cash for the balance. The resort was gorgeous! We loved the beach and it was very clean. The staff were all polite and helpful. We went across the street to the straw market for lunch and enjoyed it as well. We loved our time in Freeport. We caught the shuttle from the port. Our driver was Dwight and he charged us $10 round trip per person. When he dropped us off he told us he would be back at 2, 3, and 4 pm to pick up people. He was there just like he told us. There was a family on the bus on our return trip that had went to the free beach and they had a nice time there as well. I liked the fact that at the Grand Lucayan you had options of beach, pool or sitting inside. It was a great day!

    Thanks for posting!

  3. I was there last Friday. There is a shuttle from the port to the Grand Lucayan. It's $10 roundtrip and is about a 15 minute ride. Tell the shuttle driver where you want to go. Ours made a couple stops. We had purchased our day pass through Shore Excursioneer, but it didn't matter. They didn't even look at my papers. There were about 10 people in line to go in. We just handed over $20 and off we went. Make sure when you pay and go through the gate you turn left for the Grand Lucayan. No one told us and we went to the beach on the right and ended up at a different resort!

The shuttles run every half hour back to the port. They do try to fill the shuttle before they leave.

    Have Fun!

Is there a name for this shuttle company? We're booked for Grand Lucayan on 6/23 and need transportation to the resort from Freeport. tHX!

  5. Good choice! We are just doing the free beach in Nassau. 2 weeks from today we embark OMG!!!!

There are 4 other ships in port the day we're in Nassau and I thought about doing the free beach/Tiki Bikini Bar, but thought it may be a little crowded. Still pondering!!!!

    Let the count down begin!!

  6. The All Inclusive Viva Wyndham in Freeport offers Day Passes. It is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the pier. But nice choice with beautiful beach and a lot of activities.
where do you buy passed for this hotel?
  7. We will be there in a little over 2 weeks and there will be 4 ships in port that day. I just googled cruise port schedules and various websites came up, I checked a few and they all had the same information.

Thanks - I ended up googling as well and found that there will 5 ships in port when we're there. Debating on Tiki Bikini Bar or Melia while in Nassau! Hopefully Tiki Bikini isn't too busy! How is it getting back to Port? Are taxis hard to get?

  8. Have you done your excursion / day trip day to Grand Lucayan yet? Thinking of doing this in three weeks. Did you buy directly from the hotle or through and excursion company?

  9. I'm struggling doing the same thing! Trying to just book a day at the beach with some kayaking and snorkeling,,,and maybe some lunch! Going to make a couple of phone calls tomorrow to see what I can book! Good luck!

  10. Has anyone ever used Chad4Nature Tours in Nassau or Freeport? I have 4 adults traveling in 3 1/2 weeks and I'm interested in booking a kayak and snorkeling excursion.
