The motion is not an issue, or at least not for me or my wife. We leave next Sunday on Summit for NE cruise and have one of the aft A1 cabins on 11.

Prices are Apples MSRP so you can look them up there. They are free of tax and/ or duty unless you purchase a declareable amount. Technically, at least in my state, you are also supposed to file a Use Tax form and pay the Use tax which is same amount as sales tax. No one does of course.

I see nowhere to upgrade the package. I can buy the full premium package at 20% off but not upgrade from Classic. Tried multiple browsers and computers too. I’ll call them to get it done but I do wonder where you found the upgrade.

Has anyone taken the Misty Fjord shore excursion offered by Celebrity in Ketchikan? Will be on the Solstice next month. Will appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

Assuming you are talking about the catamaran tour.

My wife and I did. Best excursion we’ve ever taken. The tour guide was great and this can be a big difference between wonderful and disappointing.

We got up close to the glacier and saw some wonderful wildlife, including a period where whales were breeching all around us.

Another question, while eating at any restaurant can I simply order a glass of wine, beer or a cocktail at no charge thanks to my premium beverage package? I'm sure there are some Super high end cocktails or wines that are not on the package, but for the most part, can I order a glass of zinfandel with din din? Is it designated on a list somehow?

Thanks for the advice everyone. My bad...I din't mean to convey that we weren't going to take advantage of shore excursions, I don't plan on booking my shore excursions through the cruise ship ;p

The Tracy Arm Fjord Catamaran tour is one to consider. You disembark from the Fjord onto a tour catamarans and get up close to the glacier. You end up meeting back up with the ship in port. You can only purchase this from Celebrity. This was our favorite tour from our 30th anniversary cruise on the Solstice. We also booked all other excursions with 3rd party operators.

You’ll be in Alaska and should really consider spending it on excursions to see things you may never see again. That’s just my opinion.

The Cruiseplanner doesn’t seem to know we have a free classic package, so it only wants to sell the full price package, not upgrade from the free perk. Did your cruiseplanner show the upgrade option?

I’ve never seen the option to upgrade from Classic to Premium either. Only the option to purchase a new package.

I'm a helluva lot more concerned with catching something from those people who don't wash their hands before leaving the bathroom. And those special snowflakes who ignore the antibacterial gel at the entrance to every restaurant. SMH.

This! People have a great tendency to worry more about the things that are rare but highly publicized. Plane crashes more than auto accidents and the like.

Maybe they’re ok for you. You can test ahead of time by holding two empty toilet paper rolls up to your eyes and seeing if that works for you. You can get Busnell Falcon binoculars via Amazon or others for around $40. Not bad for the price. Just saw ones reccomended above, very similar.

Day 4 of our cruise, Antigua. Mid afternoon here and a short while ago we were sat on the balcony enjoying the view. We saw several pieces of assorted luggage arrive at the ship. We also saw what looked like a couple and their luggage arriving....counting our blessings.....

YEP! This is one of the very *few* times I give staff sort of a hard time. Most cruises I politely ask for a fresh burger or dog and at least TWICE they gotta point out that there's readymade ones in the bin. Really annoys me.

They were Life Fitness if I recall correctly. They also have some spinning bikes, I don’t know who they are made by, that are for classes only.
