  1. Those T1 cabins are on decks 10, 11 & 12. I would call NCL directly, their cruise consultants are fantastic!!! They'll get you right where you want to be...provided it's available! Mine told me last week that they only show online a very small percentage of what is actually available for booking, that it's always best to call direct. If you want to give me your email, I can send the name and direct # for the NCL consultant that i've used for my cruises and turned all of my family and friends on to....or perhaps I can post it? Anyone have any idea if that is acceptable on CC??

Thank you very much for the offer. I called and booked last night. Is the lady I spoke with now assigned as my cruise consultant?

  2. I tried that for the OP's booking (Escape 7-day Miami, Oct 28, 2017). "View Deck Plans" brings up a window where I can view the deck plans, but I can't click on anything or select anything from the deck plans. Could you try and see if it works for you?

NCL really doesn't want you to see anything but those 15 cabins on deck 12. Is it possible that the other studios (including all the studios on decks 10 and 11) are already sold out? I guess. But it seems to be that the booking system will never show you more than 15 cabins per category, no matter how many cabins are actually available.

I couldn't figure out what he meant either. I called and got the exact cabin I wanted on deck 11.

  3. Thanks to everyone for the replies so far. I was sort of trying to avoid the Caribbean, as I've visited multiple times before and would like to find some ports with more cultural enrichment. The TA was so high on my list because I'd like to fly one way to Frankfurt, spend some time in Europe, then take the TA back home to the states. Heck, a cabin on a TA is cheaper that a business class flight home. However, it sounds like cruising the Med could be a good option.

  4. First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ben, I'm a 27 year old guy from Indiana. I've cruised once, back in 2000 aboard the Carnival Destiny. I'm busy with my career, but want to take some time and start cruising solo. One of the biggest reasons I want to cruise solo is to have the opportunity to meet folks from all different walks of life. I'm interested in meeting people of all ages, but would also like to ensure I will meet some who are of similar age to myself.

I'm considering a the Transatlantic crossing from Barcelona next November on the Epic. And I don't mean to offend anyone, because like I said, I want to meet people of all ages. But I was thinking and thought that cruise is likely to be filled with retirees only, due to the length and departure port. Or am I completely wrong. If I'm right, what routes are most likely to attract solo cruisers of similar age as myself?
