  1. Hi,

I am looking for a mansion or small B&B for a one night pre cruise stay in April. The problem I am running into is all the ones I think are cute don't allow one night stays.

Any suggestions for something in French Quarter or within walking distance that is a cute, quaint, mansion, B&B, or boutique hotel under $300?

    Thanks so much!

Check in the Garden District. You can catch the streetcar back into the Quarter.

  2. Where does one obtain the ice cream, or do you all mean a la carte gelato?

On the Summit the ice cream is right inside the buffet on the left hand side as you enter. Not sure if it moves around on the different ships but I know where it is on that one since we stop there every night for cookies and ice cream YUMMY.

My husband also swears by the tacos on the buffet. Me, creme brulee lunch day on the buffet. Yes, I bring one of each to the table and thoroughly enjoy them.

  3. When you all refer to going further south for warmer temps, what ports are u referring to?

For us it has been St Kitts, St Thomas, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia, Aruba, Curacao, the Dominican, Puerto Rico, Grand Turk, and St Martin. I think once you get to Puerto Rico and below you are good to go with the temps (at least on the eastern side).

  4. In general how nice or not is the weather in the Caribbean in early Feb. temperature wise?

February is our favorite time to cruise. We do the southern Caribbean out of Puerto Rico and the temp is perfect on shore and in the water. We were also in GT this past February and the water temp was very nice.
