  1. No one can answer this as your ship is not in port yet. Take your chances and you will have your answer.

I did just look on the Port Everglades site and they have a roster for all ships coming and going..

Looks like the Allure will be pulling into the Port at 3am Friday morning. I would like to think boarding at noon would be realistic.

At the bottom of page 2 shows the arrival time for Nov 6th

  2. So my wife and I are set to leave this Friday for a 2 day to Nassau. She has never cruised before and I am hoping for perfection..

The boat departs at 8pm.. We are scheduled for the Mama Mia show at 9pm. The big question is when do they do the lifeboat drill? I don't want to be late for the show if they do it once the boat leaves.. Hoping this is done much earlier..

  3. It really depends. Lots of the time when a ship is returning to the US from a TA there are delays. Mainly because there are more inspections and customs issues that have to be done than are normally done at one time. You may end up sitting for 3+ hours or you may not, but my guess is you probably won't be able to board before 2-3 pm.

Is it always a crap shoot? Id hate to get there at noon and be stuck waiting 3 hrs.. Would calling ahead help? I am an hour and a half drive from the Port.

Even if I called them at 12.. I could be there at 1:30 if they told me its ok..

  4. Half the fun of cruising (IMO) is having tablemates at dinner! I LOVE that! It's not "family style...everyone gets to order their own meal..not served in big bowls! Having others to chat with is fun!

You will be able to make reservations for the shows soon, if you can't online now.....you are simply booking the show time you want...not specific seats, so get to the theater about 15-20 mins. prior if you want to be in the center section.

I agree the tablemates can be fun.. but its a crap shoot.. I have had great ones and ones so boring or weird I rushed through my meal.. I like to take the chance but I dont want to risk my wife having a bad experience..

Do they offer table for 2 or only group tables?

  5. I am taking my wife on her first Cruise this Nov 6th on the Allure.. Its only Friday to Sunday as a trial for her and I want it to be perfect.. I have been on dozens of cruises in the past but have not cruised in over 5 years..

I am hoping I can do things online and early to beat that mad rush when everyone gets on the ship.

I am hoping to just get a table for 2 at the main dinner seating rather than the family style. (just till she gets used to it) If not then I think I will choose a restaurant like Chops..

Also I think Mama Mia is the show on the ship.. I want to be able to get good seats.. are there reservations or just wait very early for the show?

    Can anyone advise here?
