  1. I am not sure if anyone knows the answer to this but we are travelling with our teen. Does every cruise card have to be linked to a credit card? We would prefer that our teen's card not be linked to our credit card. We would rather give her a prepaid card with a limit (we read about them) for onboard expenses like gelato and other such things..

What is the snow party?  Sounds intriguing.

Can't tell you first hand but I saw a video review, and read from another, that it is a party on the upper deck that seems to involve fake snow. Couldn't tell if it is a party for everyone, or a focus on the younger ones, but since we get enough real snow, don't need the fake stuff 😉

  3. Anita you are a gem for posting the Dailies. You are right, the opera/ ballet show is not well advertised. The show  was also at the same the as the snow party on deck (I heard was popular) which likely led to the low attendance in the theatre.

Marco, thanks for your additional information!

I am getting more from this thread than from reading many of the reviews!

  4. Thank you Anita for taking the time to answer all of our questions in such wonderful detail!! I really appreciate it.  I especially loved the tip regarding the 4:30 abridged opera show. If it is on our sailing, I will be sure not to miss it (I probably would have missed it if you didn't point it out to me). Sounds like the Mask show can easily be missed if there are conflicting activities. Glad to hear debarkation was easy. I heard of some chaotic, super long debarkations and I was wondering if they have improved (we have some post-cruise plans). Happy to hear you enjoyed your cruise!

  5. Tracy and others, I just to wanted to let you all know that the instructions that Tracy provided worked perfectly! We booked our excursion and it is linked to our booking now! It says that we will have to pay once we check in on board. But the comforting thing is, I see the excursion attached to our booking.

Thank you so much Tracy! I am glad we could book the excursion ahead of time and not have to worry about it being sold out. Great job!!

  6. Tracy and Sylvain, thank you!! Genius!

We are two weeks away from boarding and we had our eye on an excursion. I will try to book it.

I hope it links properly to our Canadian booking info and that we don't end up with two disconnected accounts.

  7. I hear you Cynalan! The couple excursions posted for our trip made us lol. It was in a pdf form and I actually didn't see how you could book them anyway. And thank you for the suggestion xcell! Unfortunately, this is the first cruise we booked on our own online, not through a TA.

Gotta say through my experience with the website and the recent barrage of negative reviews for our ship, I think I am well prepared for any service deficiencies we may experience onboard. Regardless, we are looking forward to it, will keep an open mind and we are hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

  8. A few weeks ago, when I called regarding the inability to book excursions online, I was told we could not book over the phone. They were hoping that the Canadian website would be ready to handle excursion bookings some time in January. At the time of our call, the agent told me I either had to wait until the website was working or wait until I got on the ship to book excursions. That sounded okay weeks ago, but now that we are fast approaching our sail date, I am hoping that we are not shut out of our choice excursions because they may become sold out. Also, by having to wait until we board the ship we may be missing  out on any reduced pre-sail excursion prices. Hope they can get it up and running soon!
