I've never understood the need to exhibit decorations on cabin doors,. This is not your home. Do these same people do this on hotel doors?

Just because "mom says" doesn't mean I will listen.....😎

Um, not at all. I found it humorous that he thought that extra 5 inches made a difference. Before I retired a couple of months ago I was a "Essential Worker" for the electric utilities and flew weekly throughout the lockdown and then some. I have been on six cruises since the restart, all unmasked, and have had the vaccine along with two boosters. I am not worried in the least.

There is nothing negative about being prudent before you travel, fly or get on a cruise. We will be just as prudent before our 34 days of cruising and land trips in August in Italy and Greece. The biggest stressor was the test to fly home. We have only been flying in first and business class post Covid to avoid sitting next to strangers and have more space to help socially distance ourselves. I am 50/50 about the preboard testing as it may keep some asymptomatic people off the ship but who knows if it really makes any difference. I also suspect we will never fly again in coach seating as we have gotten so use to first and BC now.

I never knew that you couldn't catch Covid in First Class or Business Class! I am flying to Alaska to start my cruise tour tomorrow so I might have to upgrade to stay away from the diseased peasants.

  4. I bought 100 shares when it bottomed and got in at $20.64.A lot of folk right here on CC thought I was crazy to buy it when I did. I have been on 6 cruises since the restart and have received $750 in OBC so far. I have 6 more cruises booked before the end of the year, another $600, so I think it will pay for itself rather easily.

  5. We are leaving for our cruise tour next week and we received this email on JUNE 2nd!

    o Pre-Cruise:

Testing prior to the land tour is not required.

For testing prior to the sailing guests are advised to bring an approved eMed kit and Celebrity Cruises will facilitate testing in the necessary time frame before the cruise. Guests who don’t bring an eMed kit, or are not eligible to use one, will have an in-person antigen test made available to them at their expense. Pricing is set by the vendor and subject to change without notice.

And then on the website you get this.....

Cruisetour guests: Guests 2 and older must present a negative antigen or PCR COVID-19 test result taken within 2 days of the land tour start date. For the land tour only, the test is not required to be supervised. For testing prior to the sailing, guests are advised to bring an approved eMed telehealth kit and testing will be facilitated in the necessary time frame prior to the cruise.

We saw on a rollcall page that you needed to test two days before the land tour. Well I figured we needed clarification now so I called the dreaded Celebrity customer service line. After a short 30 minute wait, I talked to a real live person and posed my question and was quickly told that the test was NOT needed for the land tour, just the cruise. When I expressed my concern about the conflicting requirements she put me on hold for about 5 minutes and when she returned she once again assured me that a test before our land tour is not required. I made her put a note in my reservation file stating what we were told. Needless to say, I never trust what they tell me so I will take a test at CVS on Thursday just in case however, I will not offer it up unless I have to.

Once again, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing!

We have used Park "N Go many times and it was great.  Contact them.  We just returned from an Equinox cruise and as opposed to $15 a night at the port, we paid $77 for the entire 9 nights.  They do have covered parking but not sure of the cost.  They shuttle you to the ship and back so I would check if they take you to the airport.  Worth a shot.

They go to the Airport as well as the Cruise port.

  7. I had a similar problem and after weeks of getting the run around I went to the top and sent an email to the CEO, in less than an hour her assistant called and fixed the problem. I hated to bother her however, enough was enough.  lLutoff-Perlo@celebritycruises.com
