I would agree. It seems to be quite random and nothing (or very little) to do with chasing them or otherwise.
I would also agree. Didn't chase just waited. As they say patience is ........annoying to others

cruise date 4 th april
refund requested 14 march
refund recd to credit card 16 may
Taken to long and poor communication from P&O,
will not be cruising again until all the covid problems
are sorted and governments stop panicking and get their
acts together.
Good luck everyone stay safe we will overcome this.
After my rant yesterday, I have just received my refund for the same cruise. Deposit on one card and balance on another. Just restaurant booking outstanding. I think it was 59/60 days to get refund. I did not contact P&O after the initial online claim form fwiw.

I am of course pleased for those who have received their refund. Looking at the dates of cancellation and cruise dates, it still appears the luck of the draw who gets theirs first. I cancelled on 14th March and cruise date was 27th March, so should have had the refund by now.
I have made my mind up I will never cruise PandO again. It's not just the delay, but total disregard for there loyal customers. I first cruised with them 20 years ago on the old Arcadia and have had many since. Who knows when it will be safe to cruise again, but when/if I can, there will be plenty of choice.
I wrote in March on another thread, about how bad P&O customer service appears to be compared to other cruise companies and nearly 60 days in I am still waiting for refund despite them saying 45 days in email. April 4th was to be our first cruise with them, after this experience there's no chance they will be getting my money again.

Yes booked direct and waited for them to cancel to take full refund and not the 125% FCC. Ive enjoyed sailing NCL, Princess and RCI in past and this was to be our first P&O. I've emailed back asking them to explain the cancellation amount and where the £56 has gone

How can they justify keeping your money for a restaurant booking? You aren’t going to be eating any food. That’s scandalous.
Will make me think twice about pre-booking anything in the future
I think the handling of their customers is extremely poor. I know their moves are calculated for the good of their business and i can understand that but it's all so deliberate, slow and confusing. Why send me a cancellation invoice with a different amount to what I have paid. It just leaves me, the customer, confused as to what I am going to receive back and potentially have to fight for which in these times nobody should be put in that position to do so.
-
Has anybody been paid out on a cancelled cruise yet? I emailed them about my refund, as I did it through their online form and had received no confirmation email. They sent me a cancellation invoice which is £239.80 short of what I have paid out. Also doesn't include £56 for restaurant booking which I was unable to get refunded.

Booked a year ago for 1st time on P&O and now cruise cancelled 2 weeks out. i'm taking my cash back and doubtful ill re-book with them. Other cruise lines appear to have treated their customers miles better than P&O. The fact they are the last to react says a lot about their values

I am due to sail on Ventura in early April, and have gone on record on this board as still intending to go. I am however, having serious second thoughts. I am regarded as being at higher risk being in my 70s and taking medication for high blood pressure.
Surely you can get a letter from your GP to saying unfit to travel?
-
If i'm given this option with P&O I will take it. Due to sail next month

Is that with a medical certificate or just anyone at all? I don't see that on their website?
I received an email.

NCL allowing anyone to cancel cruise up to 48 hrs before embarkation. Get 100% future cruise credit. Starts March 10th to 30th September. Seems fair to me

We are doing a B2B in 2 weeks so interested to know if they had any laundry offers? Also interested to know the drinks card answer
-
Many thanks for the replies

First time sailing on Royal Caribbean in August on Rhapsody. I called last week to upgrade drinks package from Refreshment to Deluxe but was refused as I only wanted it for myself, partner doesn't drink. I was told both had to have it. So I was wondering if they have on board offers, apart from drink of the day? I thought I read before that you can buy a drinks card for $80 for 10 drinks, but that may have been on another cruise line. Many thanks

Is the entertainment good on the Sun. On the Getaway last year and the entertainment was very good.
The entertainment when we were on from 19th - 30th September was so so.
I found the cruise director Philly Joel really annoying and his pronunciation poor at times. Other staff members were much better and far more entertaining.
They had a motown trio, juggling duo a hypnotist and 2 comedians and all were ok and fairly enjoyable for a nights entertainment but I wouldnt pay to see any of them outside of a cruise. The sun entertainment show crew were good dancers and singers and the nights they were on i found were more enjoyable.
If you didnt go to see any shows you wouldnt really be missing out on much and it depends on what else you want to do with your evenings.

So the UK new promo is out and as expected it's almost the same as the last but with $200 OBC for a limited time. However this new promo is only available on sailings AFTER 1st January 2017!
Well either the PCC cant read her emails properly or I was being misled
-
Some prefer free drinks or dining, others free 3rd and 4th guest, others free gratuity. You like what you like depending what best suits your needs. I've noticed prices have gone up as freebies have been offered so is there really any savings?
-
They always say the current promotion is ending. How else they push people to buy?
When I called I was not calling to make a booking so no reason to push me anything. That said i'm sure it goes on within most sales teams
-
The sales people always say that along with the cabins are almost sold out.
I guess we will know in a few days and it will be interesting if the same happens in the USA when your current offer ends
-
ExactlyWho knows what the Brits are up to?!:confused: -
In the UK it runs out 31 August. PCC said they were told a few days ago
-
Anyone else heard that the current free at sea offers will end at the end of the month and not return until the January sales?
-
Even though I live in the uk that's y always book thru the USA never had a problem and get my travel insurance as soon as I book
I guess there are pros and cons. For example booking through USA site means you have to pay gratuities on Beverage package where UK customers dont pay this.
