  1. Seriously, bring several pairs of disposable earplugs. Rock of Ages, Burn the Floor, and Cirque Jungle are all very loud as is Tepinyaka restaurant. If you decide you don't need them great at least you have them if you need them!

Trivia is fun but get there early as the atrium is small.

Potpie and Fish and chips (ok just the fish not the chips) is a must try at O'Sheehans.

The hot tubs in the front of the ship away from the pool (there are two by the big outdoor movie screen but I forget what it's called) were much less crowded and almost enjoyable from what we saw.

Must take Zumba on the bball court with Anton in the morning.

Double check and keep all your receipts. We found several mistakes.

Crepe station on the buffet line was really good. If you bring ham and cheese slices form the deli station they will make you savory crepes as well as the sweet ones.

Have fun and don't over think things. Be flexible.

Customer service is open very late (11:00 pm some nights) if you can, wait and avoid the lines.

  2. We just got back from our first cruise (Breakaway to Bermuda) and stayed in the Haven 16722. The family villa (H4) was cheaper than booking 2 other rooms especially considering that 3rd and 4th person in our room were free.

Being escorted past the throng waiting to check in/ embark, having a reserved elevator back to the Haven after the disaster drill, escort and reserved seating at the shows, and escort disembarking past the lines waiting for customs more that paid for staying in the Haven. For me, the highlight was soaking in the bathtub complete with lavender bath salts and huge picture window looking at the sunset after a long day walking the decks.

Additionally, the Haven pool, hot tubs, and sauna were never crowded, sometimes we were the only ones there and we never had trouble finding a deck chair. The dining room staff knew our preferences, as did the bartenders.

We enjoyed cruising and will simply do it less often so we can stay in the Haven whenever we go. Yes it was expensive but we had a totally different cruise than the folks crammed 15 into 8 person hot tubs and dealing with mile long lines at the buffet.

  3. Slightly off topic but do your self a favor and bring several pairs of disposable earplugs for everyone in your party. All three shows (Burn the Floor, Rock of Ages - listen to them when they say this show is NOT PG!!!- and Cirqu Jungle) were all very loud as was as Tepinyaki. If you find you don't need them great! But they will be a great thing to have just in case.

My youngest enjoyed the teen club, Entourage, to the point that we hardly saw her. We saw, on many instances, the younger kids doing scavenger hunts, dance parties, swim parties, and dining together. Can't speak from personal experience for the 8-13 set but they looked like they were having fun and my teen Definately had fun with the planned activities.

Be careful with them getting on and off at the ports. It was pretty crazy and there were characters (sponge bob, dolphin, pirate, etc) doing meet and greet photo ops and there were a lot of people crowding around-easy to loose the little ones there.

    HAve a great time.
