We've been on 3 Princess cruises since July and leave in 2 weeks for another. Are some things different than before the pandemic? Absolutely! Is it nearly as bad as a couple people on here are making it out to be? Absolutly not. The world is different post pandemic. Princess has had to make some cutbacks, many supplies are simply not available or are priced out of budget. While different, still absolutely enjoyable. And if you think the other lines are not subject to the same challenges, reality is going to hit you hard.
And if you are going to switch cruise lines mainly because Princess is not enforcing a dress code, thank god you are going to be cruising with someone else.

Seriously its not that bad if mixed with OJ
Yes the acid in the OJ helps it clean the drains.

I bought at $7.90, just missed the bottom so $790.00 for my 100 shares. After our April 27 cruise, I will have received $750 in credit this year. And the stock is nearly 2 1/2 times higher.

His name is Smit and goes by Smit or Smitty. Super nice guy. Our wait staff is Mark and Jeff. Great team! I am just slight aft of Club Class mini suites on Deck 9.
We seem to be hanging out at One5 and like Desmond for a bartender.
The staff have been amazing on this sailing.Smit is awesome. We actually went on the Grand to Mexico amd picked a cabin in his section so we could see him.

Who is your steward? We were on the Grand in October.

Our PVP is awesome. Extremely knowledgeable. I always get an email or call returned. She knows what we like and helps us get it. Recently while booking, she got us a great deal on an obstructed balcony. She knows the ships and cabins well enough that the balcony had no obstruction but saved us nearly $1000

That is sad about the number of passengers but you will be able to walk right up to the omelette station. 😊
As a passenger- awesome. As a shareholder - oh crap.

We are on the Grand now. Booked an inside cabin because it was $149 pp. Asked and was upgraded to a balcony. Ship hardly has anyone on it. Rumor among crew is around 300 pax. Official word to crew is "very few" pax

No, the drink package on Princess Plus works pretty much anywhere on the ship drinks can be ordered, but not in your room. See the FAQ for Princess Plus:
What’s NOT included in the Premier Beverage Package?
The Premier Beverage Package does not include souvenir items, room service, vending machine or mini-bar items. On the Majestic they delivered to our room many times. Average wait was around 10 min.

I use my Chase Amazon credit card to buy Princess gift cards on Amazon. 5% back every day.

No one doubts that it " was not their fault" but what is their fault is the lack of real time info and slow responses to refund requests. You were lucky to get yours early on. Although I am sure your experience was not the vacation you had hoped for!
Many other companies have had to deal with massive refund requests and have employees working from home etc but they have issued the refunds in a timely manner. Carnival and Royal Caribbean plus many airlines to name a few. As for furloughing employees, why would they do that when they know hoe many refunds have to be processed! Sorry but sympathy for Princess is in short supply by many!
Not entirely true, I am waiting for refunds from both Delta and American airlines

I've been on 4 on different ships. Every tour is somewhat different as each area is seen through the perspective of the host. Also different questions are asked by the participants. i find it to be well worth the price.

I've done it 3 times on 3 different ships and think it's worth every penny even if they didn't give you any gifts.

I've done tee UST on 3 different ships and highly recommend it.

When I had hotels, we donated them to shelters. Also gave them to employees and their friends.Never having been in the hospitality business, I can’t help but wonder what they do with the hundreds of old mattresses they are replaced.Sent from my SM-N960U using Forums mobile app

The buffet on the CB last year was dismal. On the Island in April this year we were impressed. Tasted and looked good.I agree that the buffet was disappointment, the food was not good or appealing to look at. After over 30 cruises on Princess I was surprised at the quality of food being served. After this cruise I am nervous about my upcoming cruise on the Island Princess and it being the same in food quality.Overall the ship is lovely and the crew was very accommodating.

We were on 16 night B2B last year on this ship and the food was not good. To the point where we decided we probably would not sail Princess again. Went ahead and tried the Island in April and the food was fantastic. Almost like a different cruise line.

Last year on the Caribbean, they served Curry Tortellini on Indian food night. Lol.This was our 35th cruise with Princess and I could not agree with you more! First impression, first night, I told the DW; You can put lip stick on a pig, but it's still a pig! They changed the decor, changed the signs BUT it was the same ole Horizon Court with the same ole food. We have found that normally on the first day (embarkation) lunch and dinner are pretty good as is the last night but not on this ship. Last night for dinner in the "World Fresh Market" the Chef's special being carved and served was, MEAT LOAF! Yep, meat loaf. One night they had a pan marked "mini meat loaf" filled with burger patties. I actually couldn't help myself and stood there an laughed out loud. Another night was "meat balls on a stick". Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. I will give them credit for having the best eggs benedict I've ever had at sea.We also had Smit as our room steward and he is awesome.

We were on the Island in April. Did not experience any problems with crowding. Thought the food was the best we've had on a ship in quite a while.

A no perks, non refundable deposit fare. We used future cruise credits so only risking $200. We get $300 OBC for FCC, plus another $300 from TA. On a 16 day last year our bar bill was less than $100, the sodas and more will be about $150 so we're over $2000 ahead.

We seldom drink, and they won't substitute OBC for the beverage package so my agent booked the Saver fare. For 19 day Panama Canal 04/2020, the price for 2 was $2400 less than S&S.

I find that very little in life is perfect, but I still enjoy it. Everything changes and if you can't just roll with it, you will be miserable as demonstrated by your letter.
