Carnival has not mentioned anything about it. Besides, the Bahamian ports are Nassau, Freeport and Bimini. The first two are the worst ports in the Western Hemisphere and Bimini is brand new and has nothing to offer at this point.
I guess we'll sit back and watch and see what happens. And I disagree with you about Bimini beautiful port with lots to offer had a great time there two weeks ago.

Shof isn't going to have it in writing, but not because he's incorrect about you not needing to do anything. Rather, the Bahamas are simply NOT REQUIRING travel visas for Florida based cruise passengers that stop by one or more Bahamas posts on their cruise. Trust us. If everyone cruising right now got to the Bahamas and got turned away this board would explode about 500 pages worth.

I'm not sure what information is correct but based on the information on the official Bahamas travel site it is required. If you take a look at it clearly states passengers arriving by cruise ship from Florida. This regulation was put in place for cruises starting August 11th or so.
Here is what the site is showing you can take a look for yourselves

Hi all. I have gotten quotes on Insuremytrip.com which I typically use for my cruises/airfare. However when selecting the cruise line Crystal is not on the list of cruise lines. I tried this with Nationwide and Berkshire. I chatted the help desk and they say it isn't a covered cruise line and to pick another policy. I tried this and they don't appear on the list. Could Crystal possibly be under another name?
Which insurance companies do you use?
Thanks!
Hello we booked with Crystal for the insurance which is Allianz insurance. I also always book with a credit card that has travel insurance coverage so we are double covered.
Hope this helps

Carnival has been very kind to me over the years and still cruise on them to say hi to old friends that work onboard.
I wanted to see more of the world so we did the status match with MSC and were very happy with the change. Nice ships sailing the world and not just out of US ports .
We decided to compare Havana with MSC Yacht Club the price was about the same when you add in the cheers package with Carnival. The MSC experience was hands down better value for the dollar with personal service from start to finish and we enjoyed it.
The crowd was different but like on all trips we make our own fun and could care less who the cruise director is.
Both lines have great dedicated hard working staff.
We will still sail on CCL but we are expanding to more lines and will make the best of it

Comparing Yacht Club to Havana is not a true apples to apples comparison. You need to compare Yacht Club to the Haven on NCL. Msc will show you more of the world, but at the same time if you cruise on them in Europe, you get the European influenced menu, which is extremely seafood forward. Since the wife doesn't eat seafood, our MSC travels will be in this hemisphere only. Did the Seaside in January of 2018, may do the Seashore in late 2023 or early 2024.
We like YC better than Haven. In all our euro trips we never had a food problem. Menu is different but land food to sea food is about equal. We just love to be on a ship .. Next up Crystal

I swear some of you are more interested in walking around with a pin to show that you are Diamond, than you are in having the cruise.
I use my pins for target practice along with my S and S cards

It is nice to be recognized for the loyalty to Carnival. We like the perks that we get. Doing a Diamond tier match with MSC only gets you GOLD. One from the top. Their top tier perks are really nice. Even with GOLD they give you $100.00 each OBC on a 7 day cruise. 10% and 5% off of your lowest price. We are full up for this year and 5 for next. Only one so far for 2023 which is a Carnival cruise. We will do MSC in 2023. Since they have built newer ships and from I read are super nice. We are buffet people and according to what I read. Their buffet is awesome. So we shall see what they have to offer. We did one an MSC cruise many, many years ago. Really do not remember the cruise. We must have not liked it, we never did another.
I agree did the match when diamond CCL got you Black MSC. We have taken several MSC trips and we like many things about MSC. The buffet is very good much more selection . We also have tried Yacht Club and it blew Havana out of the water and worth every $$$$. We will still sail CCL but MSC will show us more of the world

I have been Diamond for a lot of years now. That Tier is getting very crowded. On many cruises they have two different times for the party. I think Carnival should add another tier with added incentives. Maybe, Specialty Dining on every cruise not just the first one after reaching Diamond. Drinks included for two. Wash and PRESS included. What else should they include? Suggestion. Call it EBONY requiring 500 points, maybe higher. MSC calls theirs BLACK. Lots of perks from them. Discount percentages on cruises no matter what your price is another percentage off. That would be nice.
This has been under review according to JH for years now. I would have thought during covid pause maybe they would have adjusted to program. I guess one day

THE FOLLOWING IS BEING REPORTED BY ALL NYC MEDIA OUTLETS KEEP A EYE OUT TODAY ON THE OUTCOME Cruise line not confirming . Here are 2 of the posts media spin is amazing
The Anthem of the Seas cruise ship is back in Bayonne where more than 2 dozen Chinese nationals on board will be screened for the Coronavirus. Fox NY
#CoronaVirusCruise We are waiting for the #RoyalCarribean ship #AnthemOfTheSeas believed to have 1-2 doz Chinese Nationals with “pulmonary symptoms.” The cruise line not confirming; no word in quarantine. We are live in Bayonne as the ship pulls in @PIX11News

In the days before the cell phone 3 and 4 day cruises were a great party. Now it seems a lot less than the old days.
Food for thought

This got me to thinking, so I looked it up. If cost is the deciding factor for you, like it is for us. This is what I found, doing mock bookings as far out as the ship would allow, with the cheapest cabin I could find in those areas, for a couple
1. MSC Seaside YC Interior (8 day): $3722
2. NCL Joy Haven (The Haven Family Villa Suite with Balcony) (7 day): $5986
3. CCL Horizon Havana Interior (8 day): $2223
If Horizon is "a lot of money," the others are way more. NCL Haven doesn't seem to do interior cabins, so it's way more. At least MSC does have a few interiors with YC access. Of course this is just preliminary research and 10 minutes looking into it. CCL still appears to be significantly (40%) cheaper, on first glance at least.
I will disagree with your Carnival price.. We like to drink so if we add the cost of cheers to the CCL room we will say a bit over 1000.00 with the gratuity. Coming close to 3300
YC gives you unlimited drinks with no 15 limit. You also get a butler, dedicated pool deck, inside and outside bar, restaurant that does not open after 7 pm to all guests. and concierge , priority on and off the ship in all ports
I feel MSC YC is the best for the price. I love the fact they also took my CCL DIamond and gave me their top level black card

I agree. We did not find it worth what we paid. We also got a kick out of a couple that bought wrist bands on e bay and they got lucky cause it was the color of the week. We found enforcement of the area to be not to bad but we did notice people sneak in. I still see CCL selling day passes for the Havana one day
The music was not great... The service as slow for drinks as the OP said.
We compared lines and we feel the following rating
1 MSC Yacht Club Best experience we have ever had on a ship and service
2 Haven NCL Very good over all.
3 Havana CCL lot of money for not a lot of bang.
We all like different things if we want to go all out on a ship MSC Yacht club is our to go to
