While we were on the Valor out of Galveston Dec.2, my boyfriend entered on a whim and won second place in the slot tournament.

They gave him a seat in the finals on Magic, May 12, 2018. I'm looking through all this paperwork that they gave us whi h is rules for the tournament and one little brochure about confirming the seat or transferring. I am just trying to figure out is this a free Cruise? We really could care less about the slot tournament. I mean he's lucky and we have a free seat so we're going to play anyways as long as the cruise is really free. We dont mind port fees and gratuity. Can anyone help me out here?

On Allstate you can order either the hard card or an e-card. The e-card is instant to email, the hard card is about a week to 10 days in the mail. I've ordered both types from them. What type is on your email confirmation? These are what the e gift card confirmation looks like. The receipt and retrieval link arrived together.

My Mom is a bit crazy.. in a good way. She is 70 and still loves a good roller coaster. We're going to be on the Valor December 2. She saw the picture for the twister boat for the all inclusive Isla Pasion by twister. She isn't interested in spending the day at the beach. She just wants to ride the boat. Does anyone know of there is a boat ride only excursion around?

I was on the Fantasy out of Charleston SC Halloween 2015. It was loads of Halloween fun. They had an specialty drink called Witches Brew and all kinds of things going on. Here are some pics. We went cheap on our costumes but we aren't the goulish types. I had another friend in the cruise and she did the whole death bride deal. Wish I had a pic of that handy for you. Truly good horror.

When I originally booked my cruise I did so with an outside company and then paid for a shore excursions on the Carnival site. I then later booked my parents on the same cruise but through Carnival but the excursion won't work for them as it was higher activity then they can handle so I cancelled it on carnivals website. I'm just wondering if anyone knows they will apply my refund back to my credit card or as OBC. Will I even get a refund? My cruise is in December. Thx.

I have issues eating, sometimes it will take me 2 hours to eat a plate. I bring my own Rubbermaid and have never had a problem leaving the MDR with my meal. It's pretty obvious tho when I'm not able to eat and many are sympathetic. Some even plate for me to go.

Last October I was on the Carnival Sunshine we left the Manhattan Cruise Terminal and did Nova Scotia and then Halifax the next day. I am not a swimmer but there were plenty of people in the pool and hot tub. I didn't need a jacket at all in Nova Scotia. I did have a sweater in Halifax as it was chillier. Everything outdoors seemed to be shipwise the same as the other cruise I've taken to Bahamas. I had the best time walking around Nova Scotia. We just relaxed and shopped and did our own thing and it was fun for me. I'm not a big partier. My friend did a pub crawl excursion and made it back to the shop almost too drunk to get back on board. Lol.

Congrats on sobriety. I thought there was an automatic gratuity on that UBP. You maybe throwing away money. Definately look into it. I know it billed at close to 500 for my fiancee and I on a 14 day we booked a few days ago.

I just pick a place or a ship and then start looking for deals. I have been out of several different ports. I either drive or fly depending on the destination. I went out of NY last year and my TA was great at booking my flight and shuttle transfer. The bus through downtown NY was pretty slow but the whole process of transferring was seamless.

I guess I'm hoping I can bid on the cheap for an upgrade later but for now it's out of my budget this is what I can afford. all of my cruises so far have all been inside cabins. I definitely have been thinking about it seeing s it is 14 days instead of just five.

14 days on the Norwegian Star with only 3 ports (Barcelona, Madeira, St Maarten). I really hope you like NCL and the ship, otherwise you're in for a looooong two weeks. :) The UBP should help with that.

I know it seems like a lot of ship days but I plan to use the time to read and drink while enjoying lots of water scenery.

I just booked my cruise for Nov 5, 2018 from Rome to Miami. We plan to drive to Miami and fly from there to Rome the week before the cruise so we can tour the area.

I've been on a few Carnival cruises but this is my first NCL along with it also being my first transatlantic.

I'm looking for any tips, tricks or clues to make it a smooth enjoyable experience. Thx:cool:

1500 points gets you free drinks.But you can't put a dollar value to it. Because it varies from machine to machine. And table to table.

Each cruise the points start over.

I saw a lady the other night, on her 3rd day. She already had almost 13000 points. Thats some spending.

I'm ready to be chastised for looking. Flame away.

I thought I was the high roller. But then I'm on a CCL.

My wife and I enjoy the slots. We both had our Drinks On Us cards by the end of the 2nd day. Wife came back from the cruise with money, I didn't. Next time, I'll come back with money and she won't.

At approximately what amount spent in a machine do they start perking your drinks?

I'm considering a transatlantic cruise for my honeymoon next year. We would like to fly to Rome and spend some time doing the tourist thing and then cruise on the Star from Rome to Miami. I'm pretty excited for it. I just wish it would be a month other than November. It looks from the schedules that is the only time they do this one cruise is once a year in November.
