We recently used Lyft from Hobby to a hotel on Galveston Island. Cost was $38 plus tip. This was for a standard sized Lyft vehicle. We had just signed up for a Lyft account and received their offer of 25% off our first 10 rides. Used Lyft again the next day for a ride from our hotel to the pier. Cost was under $5.

Never booked a guarantee and I'm sure if I looked I could find the answer but I'm curious. Once they assign you a cabin can they change it or does that mean you are locked in to that cabin for sure.
Wow! I never even considered that they could possibly change it. This is our first experience with a Guaranteed room. I suppose anything is possible!

I just wanted to share the exciting news that I have received my Guaranteed Inside Room assignment for our Carnival Freedom Panama Canal Cruise in 5 weeks. I know cabin assignment can vary greatly and we are pleased to have received it so quickly. I never dreamed we would be put on a higher deck and am very happy to report we are on the 9th floor (Lido Deck). No long waits for the elevator to get to the buffet this time!

Thanks for all the quick replies. We have a "guaranteed" stateroom, but have not yet been assigned. This info will be very useful!

We will be on a 14 day Carnival Journey sailing aboard Freedom in October. Does anyone know if there is a self-service laundry room on Freedom? Our last Journey cruise aboard the Miracle had at least 2 laundry rooms, so I'm hoping Freedom is equipped as well. Thanks in Advance!

Very helpful information and I appreciate it! Thanks very much!

Does anyone have an idea on tendering at GC on Carnival Freedom? I want to schedule a 10:45 am tour. Our ship arrives at 8 a.m.
I'm concerned because of a recent Carnival tender fiasco in Kona, Hawaii. Thousands of passengers but only 2 tenders in use. By the time our tender # was called, we had only 2 hours to tour the island! I hope the situation is better in GC and Carnival has more than 2 tenders in operation! TIA for any advice on the earliest I should plan a non-Carnival sponsored excursion.

What is the earliest time for delivery of room service breakfast? We are early risers and would like a pot of coffee around 5 a.m. I understand there is a 7.95 delivery charge for orders other than breakfast. Also, does anyone know how early the buffet opens for breakfast? Thanks!

Yes, although I do have a lanyard, I would like to have them punch the hole to attach it. Unless I pack a hole puncher, I have no way to attach it.

Does POA offer scheduled dining or is it all "Freestyle" dining? Thanks!

I usually obtain my lanyard in the casino, but since POA has no casino, does anyone know where I can get a free lanyard?

We would like to rent a car on Maui and would appreciate info on which agencies offer a shuttle from the cruise port. Thanks in advance for your imput!

Is the Maui Trolley close to the port?

Yes, you can snorkel and can also take a free shower at Kahuluu beach, which is along the Clark's Trolley route. Get your wristband at the Beach Shack across from the Kailua pier, behind the Atlantis Submarine shop.

We have never cruised to Alaska and are trying to decide which itinerary: Alaskan Explorer sailing out of Seattle or the Inside Passage, sailing out of Vancouver. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
