  1. Well who knew we would get our mini suite upgraded to club class two weeks before departure? How fortuitous of me!

We sailed on March 28. If Club Class was already set up on Coral, we didn't notice it. We wouldn't have missed it anyway. The dining room food on Coral was the best I've had in any ship on any cruise line in the last half dozen or more years. So was the omelets in Horizon Court. We had our welcome glass of champagne, which was fresh poured and chilled, delightful table companions at dinner and can't imagine what Club Class could have added.

Just to give you one cruiser's opinion.

And upgrades aren't as frequent as upsells, but they do exist, for all cabin categories.

  2. we booked our Panama Canal cruise quite awhile ago- March 6 sailing on theCoral.

When we booked there was not club class options. We booked a specific mini suite so we had control over which room and side we were on.

What is the benefit of a club class?

    Do they offer upgrades?

Don't want to lose our booking perks by changing the reservation..

How much $$ difference is there?

Thoughts?? Is Medallion on the Coral?

  3. I am taking my mother who will be 75 next July to Alaska in May 2018. She uses a rollator (one of those fancy walkers with wheels and a seat), because it helps her with stability and helps when she walks distances.

Our travel agent would not book an accessible room for us, because those rooms are intended for people who have true mobility issues and use scooters or wheelchairs.

While it will be some extra effort on our part to collapse the rollator coming and going to and from the room, it is effort we are able to make while someone else who requires more assistance cannot.

I would take the room if Princess changed us because it would provide some benefits for us, but I hate the idea of someone else who has looked forward to their trip as much as we have might have to miss out if we booked it.

So not true, using a device to assist mobility is a reason for one of those cabins. We had no issue, my husband was not wheelchair dependent but needed a walker and the room location and choice made it perfect for us.

Now would I intentionally book a hc cabin

No, we don't need it, now

  4. Due to a terrible accident my husband won't be able to walk long distances at the time of our cruise. I booked the handicapped room and challenge someone to question our use of it. He can hop with a walker right now and hopefully will be able to walk with it when we go however, he may not need it at all for short walks so I am sure the haters, doubters, angry people will think what they think. His wheel chair is a tall back that reclines that we may or may not bring with up, it truly depends on where he is at.

People who are negative, unhappy people are going to be what they are going to be, we chose happiness and make the effort to live a positive life despite challenges.
