For Chania tour, Peter Tsampas was very good and I would use him again.  And being 6'9" it wasn't hard to find him! (Played basketball in South Carolina)

On Emerald Princess docking in Chania (Crete) Greece Aug 22.  We have arranged a private tour thru ToursByLocals.  We have paid for tour not our guide is asking that I email him my Passport number, date and place of birth, father's name and the Country of Issue for your passport for tax purposes and register the tour!  Has anyone heard of this practice or is this a scam?

Yes area did fill quickly however once into the locks, with the sun pretty hot, people were circulating. And once into the Canal, side views (especially in the Panama City side) were just as good.

Coral Princess stopped Puerto Vallarta 9-27-2016, I went to Walmart for a small purchase to get pesos (as suggested in other threads) never used the pesos - everyone takes USD. As suggested in other posts, took yellow cab to beginning of Malecon ($10usd) walked Malecon and had lunch at La Palapa (recommend) then took public bus back to ship $.50usd. As stated on other threads, beach vendors were constant - every 10 seconds one would stop. One problem was it was off season and not many people on beach so we were targeted.

Transit thru Panama Canal Oct 4, 2016, checked out the "secret doors" prior to Panama Canal day. Cruise Director announced at the end of the previous night's show locations for good viewing via the "secret doors" on deck 10 & 11 of Coral Princess. So not so secret anymore, however great place to view, we were there 5:30 am and had a spot on the rail.

The Princess Coral that departs Vancouver 9-17-2016 stops in Nanaimo Sunday 9-18. Has anyone rented a car and driven to Victoria to spend the day? It looks like a 1.36 hour drive so at best we would only have 4 hours in Victoria.
