  1. Usually I'm a night before girl but I'm 21 days from my first cruise and my clothes are organized and in the suitcase.

Hey I am on the same cruise!!!!!

I too am a night before packer, but this being my first cruise I decided to formulate a cruise packing list and started the process 1 month ago. 2 days before we head to Miami and everything is good to go; "a little a day takes the pressure away". No more night before packing for me....this is so much better.

  2. I'm going on my first cruise ever in a few days so I am by no means a pro and cannot say whether your luggage will fit through the scanner, but I can relate to the OCD. Some people think logically and rationally, while some of us are over-thinkers and always with multiple what ifs. In my preparation and planning I have had multiple thoughts about my luggage sitting outside my door on embarkation day as well as the night before debarking (and its not just about theft).

My solution was to put a lock on my luggage... it put my racing mind at ease. Its a TSA approved lock and I read on the website somewhere that if they need you to open it you have to go to the bowels of the ship to do so, lol, but I don't mind the exercise.... just a thought. Hope it helps:-)

  3. Clearly this problem has not been fixed or will not be fixed. We cruise in 6 days I think and I logged into MY NCL just for a quick check and sure enough my family of 4 got minimized to a family of 2 for all our excursions in every port, however, I checked the credit card and it was charged. Had to call my TA who in turn called NCL, and they issued me a confirmation document. Its weird though because when I checked prior all names were present...hmmm

  4. Hi Guys,

I am so exited! As mentioned I love traveling and value my vacations, no matter where I go. I like things the way I like them, but I'm not a "whiner", I try really hard to make the best of any situation. So what if I get food poisoning on the ship... just means I'll lose some weight, yay!!! Lol. My first cruise is in 20 days!!! On the Norwegian Getaway. We are driving to Miami from Missouri and my biggest concern....drumroll....is that I will be over my 50lb weight limit as stated on NCL website. Does anyone know if they really stand by that rule? Also any other tips? Thanks a bunch for answering:-)

P.S. anyone with kids that have gotten seasick?

    Mickayla
