  1. Hey All!

I have cruised with Carnival before, several times, but never had muliple rooms.

We are going on the Magic in September and we have total of 5 rooms. In order to get the past cruiser discount and promo they had going on, my hubby and 3 sons are all assigned to our other families rooms. We are all together on the same floor, 3 of the rooms right next to each other.

When we get on the ship, can we get our keys switched. So that my 3 boys are in one room, hubby and I are in the same and sister and nephews? Bascially, I want to get everyone in the right room with the right partners. The way we are split I only need to swap 3 people/keys.

I read some older posts on carnival that it is no big deal, but the last post was from 2012 and I know Carnival has made changes since then. I also looked on here, but wasn't able to locate much

    Thanks!!

  2. Quick question,

I crusied back in 2014 with Carnival and they still allowed you to bring on your own soda and such. They opened the cases to make sure we didn't smuggle in beer and we didn't we were ligit.

I know that with the changing of the policies they have gotten a lot more strict with searching bags

I recently had my wisdom teeth out ( 3 weeks ago) and I have a perscription mouth wash I need to use 2x a say. It is a round dark brown bottle, with screw top, not a square one like standard mouth washes.

I ususally carry my toilettries in my carry on. Will they check my mouth wash container if it is perscription? It will be ligit mouth wash, but I am concerned of contamination with them opening it. It is very expensive and it would anger me.

Just wanting to know if anyone has had them check your containers

I may consider just going without it for the week and hadnle it with my dentist when I get back.

  3. I posted another thread a few days ago about this and I got a lot of great repsonse.

I booked the MOS for this coming week of Thanksgiving. We have been on a several Carnival ships never RCI. My parents are cruise virgins, so this is really about them. I have been reading alot of reviews on the MOS and they have me concerned. I really just want to have a good time and introduce my parents to cruising and hopefully they have a great time and want to do it more, now that they are retired.

Any advice on the MOS? Activities? The night life?

Beverage package, yes or no? I guess then, if anybody knows the brands/types of beer they have available? Also any GF cider? Hubby is picky about his beer so knowing would help decide how many packages, which one, if any at all other than just the soda one!!

oh and any suggestions on things to do in Nassau that aren't really through the boat? or maybe they are, but are def worth doing?

And CocoCay? We have an 11 and 14 year old son, so they love water and activities like snorkling. My dad is active too, mom not a big ocean fan, any other activities for her? Nothing too physical. She will relax by the water with a chair and some shade :)

  4. My husband and I have been on a few cruises with Carnival. This year for Thanksgiving we wanted to surpirse my parents and bring them on a cruise with us, instead of traveling up to the cold. Unfortunately we had a few hiccups and were unable to book the cruise we really wanted in time. So I decided the best option for what was available would be the Majesty of the Seas. We have 2 tween boys, my parents, husband and I going. My parents have never been on a cruise. Hubby seems less than impressed we are going to the Bahama's. I have read some pretty scary reviews of the MOS and now I am more stressed than anything about this vacation. Can anyone please give me some heads up with this ship and what to expect.

Husband says it will be too cold to swim/etc. I am concerned about ship activities? Night Life? I really want my parents to have a great time and I wouldn't mind being able to relax either!

I have found myself in tears extrememly worried... :(
