Figure I’d bump this to see if anyone has had luck recently….?
Won our slightly over minimum (firmly lower 1/3 of what it allowed me to bid) bid to go from Junior Suite to Surfside Family Suite on our 2/17 Icon sailing next week - got that notification just over 2 weeks ago surprisingly.

I haven't seen much written about it yet - how was the Dueling Piano bar?
Fun? Worth going to more than once? Tough to get in to?
Thank you all for all the posts - I get on in one week!

Someone has posted one for sale on EBay for $25.
That’s for one of the pins not the set. If it was for the set I’d happily buy it for that! Haha

EBAY
Yup I know that’s an option - figured I’d ask here as I know many of the people would be here and there might be someone who might not care much for pins and I wouldn’t have to overpay for them.
Thank you!

Odd question
Anyone who was on Icons preview sailings get one of those lovely pin sets they might like to let go of? (Or know of somewhere I can get one)
Wife loves to collect pins and we’re sailing on Icon in a couple weeks I’d LOVE to surprise her with one if we can work something out!
Happy Cruising!

The Cruise Planner should also show that price.
18 minutes ago, TheDawg79 said:The cruise planner shows the discounted and undiscounted price
Is that price accurate? Cruise Planner pricing fluctuates all the time. Like with the drink package It sometimes says BOGO 50% off $97 but then on board it's $92 or something.

Hi There!
Wondering what the Chops on board pricing is typically like on Wonder of the Seas? Trying to figure out if the $53.99 per person that it is in the cruise planner is a better deal than using my grandmothers BOGO diamond plus offer on board the first or second night (she'll be dining with us).
Thanks in advance

Stayed in 10584 over this past weekend and no problems with noise.
I appreciate the response! We board on Monday and are excited.

Hi There!
I'll be sailing on the Wish in a few weeks (Aug 21-25) with my fiancé. We're currently on Deck 10 - it looks like we're directly underneath the beverage station next to Mickeys Pool on Deck 11. I haven't seen anyone mention it - but are there any noise issues we should be worried about?
While you're here - any one of tips or tricks for the wish would be appreciated - it looks like it's an odd ship (I realize that's broad - I've read some other threads just asking while youre here). We've done 1 Disney cruise before but are more used to Royal.
Thank you!

Related to the UDP -- I have what I believe is a courtesy reservation at 6pm on embarkation day. Ticketed solo, and have another solo traveling. He also has a 6pm courtesy reservation the first day. Tried to get RCCL phone rep to change his courtesy reservation to the second day, to no success. Have any of you all been in this situation?
Is it the case that no specialty dining reservations can be made until you get to the ship? Thanks for the info; it's been a while since I cruised Royal.
If you buy a dining package (UDP, 3 day, 5 day, etc). You select an available time when you buy it for your first courtesy reservation - they’ll pick a restaurant for you at that time.
You can’t make any other reservations or changes until you’re on board. Once on board the ship do what everyone else mentions here and go visit the maitre’d in one of the specialty restaurants and they’ll be able to make all your dining reservations for you with your package, including changing a res if you like.

Recent thread
daily menu listed on the app.
I have no idea about specialty restaurants don’t recall anything beyond regular menu unless you arrange something in advance.
thank you! That’s helpful - still curious if anyone has had any experience with the specialty or restaurants that aren’t the MDR -
Hi There!
We’ll be on Oasis in a couple of weeks. Since her last cruise my sister has gone Vegan. I know the MDR has a vegan menu available but I had a few other questions for her. I did some searching and have read a bit from other threads but there isn’t a ton of info.
1. Is the vegan menu different each night? Or is it the same every night.
2. Are vegan options available in the specialty restaurants and are they any different than the MDR? (I.e is it even worthwhile for them to come with us to a specialty)3. Do the other venues on board have any vegan options (loco fresh, Central Park cafe, pizza, Promenade cafe, windjammer, etc)
4. Any other tips or recommendations I can share with her.
Thanks in advance and happy cruising!

Thanks for the responses all! We’ll take a gamble and see what’s going on on board.

Thanks for the quick responses - one other question - does the menu for it vary at all from ship to ship?
My friend is joining us on this cruise on oasis and already has it booked for Mariner and doesn’t necessarily want the same menu.

Do they still offer deals for the chefs table on board if it’s not booked up?
I’ll be sailing oasis in a couple weeks - chefs table is currently showing $86 and has availability for every night of the cruise. If I recall - they used to offer deals if you booked it last minute on board. Is that still the case?
Curious what people have seen! It’s been awhile.
Thanks

When we sailed star class a couple of years ago - it was included but the wine was extra (like $20).
At the time some people weren’t being charged for the wine and some were - but I believe it’s supposed to be charged.

Hi Everyone!
Bringing my fiancés parents on their first cruise in a couple of weeks. He enjoys cigars. I haven’t seen much posted about this post COVID so wanted to ask:
- Is there anywhere to get real Cubans in range of the port? I know there are tons of fakes around.
- Is Graycliff Cigar company up and running? I was there last October and it seemed completely dead. If it’s more of the same I’m not sure I’d bother trying to take them there - if tours are running and there will be some life there - I’d love to potentially bring them if the cigars are worthwhile.
Thanks in advance!

My "bet" is that you have at least 1 won. Now, they're just figuring out what is the best "Financial" decision for them.
I certainly hope so! Haha…I’d just love them to decide. We board in 36 hours.

From my experience, "Pending" is usually "Accepted" bid.
Except I have 3 bids pending…otherwise I’d assume that for sure!

I realize this is a general opinion question since no one knows for sure how the algorithm works but wanted some thoughts thoughts:
We get on board Oasis on Sunday, currently in a CLS. Earlier this week there were at least 2 different star class rooms were available to book (Ultimate Panoramic, 2BR Aqua). I have bids in on both of them as well as some others. I've seen 2 waves of people confirming their royal ups went through (looks like mostly Neighborhood balconies to Oceanview balconies, and then a second wave the next day of Oceanview balconies to either JS or 1 BR Grand Suite). All my bids show as pending, and no one else in our group (which I know is a small portion of the cruise), has seen any accepting or rejecting on their star class bids.
Does that mean:
- They're just waiting closer to sail?
- I should increase my bid because none are high enough for them to want to accept?
- Just keep waiting they're just taking their sweet time?
- Something else.
Thoughts are welcomed!

I'll be on board with you as well! We were also on board for her test cruise a few weeks ago. Looking forward to meeting and seeing a some more people on board with us. We'll all have a great time.

Hi there!
I’m confident this question has been asked and answered, but I could not find the answer. My apologies!
My family currently has a future cruise credit and may be able to join me on a cruise I have coming. If I book them in to a room, and they’re unable to go, am I able to still change the names as I would normally (I.e it’s no problem as long as 1 primary name remains the same as it was originally)/how does that work with the FCC? does it get unapplied? Or left in place.
Thanks!

Up to 14kts and 10 miles from the bridge. She’ll definitely pass under by 7am and this rate.
Appreciate these updates! I’m watching the webcam.

Hi Everyone!
I’ll be sailing soon on a couple cruises (Oasis here I come!). I see it widely reported that they’re enforcing boarding times now BUT I’m curious what happens if you’re LATE for your boarding time? (Obviously still before the all aboard time though).
I have to get a couple things done before boarding the ship next time, and normally I’d like to board as soon as they’ll allow. I don’t want to book too late of a boarding time, would they make me wait if I booked a 2 pm slot and wound up showing up at 3? (Last available boarding time shows 5 pm).
Thanks I’m advance!

I’m on this sailing as well with some family! See you in the suite neighborhood! We’re in a grand suite as well. Should be a great cruise.
