I just ran an estimate from "Port of Galveston" to "Hobby Airport" and here are the estimates:

So an UberX looks like the best value. Doesn't appear like UberPool is available there to save you 25% off but not sure if that's true or not.

Uberpool is not available I'm Houston/Galveston/Bayport. UberX is fast and inexpensive, just a heads up, don't request an Uber at 7am and have them wait an hour until you leave ship. In fact many will magically start to appear close to 8 and after 8am as they known that's when you're outside.

The information here is partially true. There are plenty of drivers who pickup in Galveston every week. As a customer we should have a right to choose our mode of transportation as we always use Uber for IAH to Galveston or Hobby to Galveston.

Uber is under negotiations with Galveston however you may find many drivers who will pick you up at a more discreet location.

Uber drivers are abundant at Bayport on weekends. Most arrive around 7am, timing the ships arrival though many arrive by 8am, the earliest time we can leave ship.

If you do not see Uber cars at Bayport an hour before 8am, it is because Request onlt when you are our of customs and walking outside. You maybe able to schedule with a driver but be advised as drivers are paid only .15 a minute to wait and Uber is an on demand service, not all drivers will wait an hour for you as they may miss out on other riders who are ready to go. The most we ever asked was a 10 minute wait and had the driver start the the time. We also tipped the driver in cash as tip is not included in the app and we were made aware that drivers are not reimbursed for fuel and maintenance from Uber as independent contractors.

Just noticed that the Jade was in port tonight, but isn't scheduled to be in until tomorrow...any information about this?

Just got off the phone with Norwegian Jade customer support. They said there are no issues, it's scheduled to let passengers off at 8am. He said that the ship made good time on the sea (probably means weather was good enough) so they came in early. He didn't indicate any weather delays that would affect tomorrow's mornings planned passenger unboarding,or weather having to so with it coming in earlier than normal.

Good morning! Yay! Any news on when they will let you guys line up for security and start to head out? Around 8? I've gotta pick someone up there and can't get a hold up the lm quite yet.
