The RCI FAQ is usually pretty good at addressing your question and others:

Please believe me that I CAN read 😉  I also stated that I know what the regular rule for those two places is. BUT also I said I saw plenty of footage drone that stated they had RC permission.  So lets try it once again, because maybe you didn't read my first post correctly - my question was who do I contact in this matter ( not a copy and paste  from official site)

Anyway, thank You so much for your effort.

  2. Hi, does anybody know who do I contact to ask for permission to fly a drone on the private islands?

I know drones are not allowed , but I did see plenty footage from both places.   ( some stated it was shoot with RC approval thats why I'm asking)

I definitely don't want to break the rules and anywhere we shoot I either get permit, or permission to do so.

    Thank You!

  3. Got it, Thank You for the link! I was trying to figure it out, but I have no idea to what destination I should compare it too ( no Blue Hole on the list)

What do you think should be average price for a RT ( so I know when to agree to it 😉 ) $50, $100, $150?

  4. Hi, could you please tell me what is the price for a taxi from cruise port to the Blue Hole. There is 4 adults and a one year old. I would like to know what should I expect for a RT fare.

We are not looking for an excurision (most have at least one more stop after and I hear most of the time are rushed). Because of the baby I would rather be on my own schedule and just go and come back on our own.

Also, should we prearrange this or are there taxis available at the port?

    Thank You!

  5. Thank You. Thats what I thought (~$250), unfortunately its a little bit too much. We did the volcano, mud baths, sugar beach, waterfall etc on our previous trip so thought we could skip it. Well, I did see some "island tours" for about $60-$80pp so maybe I will be lucky enough to find one that stops there ;););)

    Thank You!

  6. Does anyone have an idea how to get to the Beacon Restaurant? Do you have an idea how much a taxi would be?

I would love to do the full tour of the island ( we did Spencer's Land & Sea last time and we loved it) but we are taking our one your old with us so I am worried full day with dozen of other ppl in a small van and freequent stops/sightseeing might be too much for him.

I'm in love with that view and could easily spend hours just siting and looking at the Pitons but I'm scared the taxi might cost way more than the whole tour with a stop for lunch.

  7. Hi, We will be in Willemstad in several weeks for the first time (8am - 6pm) I'm planing to rent a car and see the island on our own. What are the top places to see? The most beautiful beaches, the most interesting locations we don't want to miss?

    Thank You

  8. Check with NCL or your travel agent. You may need to book a cabin with a three person capacity even though the baby will be in a pack and play. It involves lifeboat station and passenger capacity.

That's what I've been told - baby (ours 13 months at the time of cruising) have to pay full price as a 3rd person

  9. Thank You everyone! You are very helpful.

    I also found this on their website: Effective for sailings July 15, 2016 and beyond, guests are prohibited from bringing any beverages -- including liquor, beer and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soda and juices -- on board either as carry-on or checked luggage, with the exception of purified or distilled water in factory-sealed containers for use in conjunction with medical devices or for the reconstitution of infant formula;

So I will give them a call to make sure.

I know tap water should be fine, but honestly I grew up avoiding it and I hate the chemical tase of it ( I know I'm weird ). So I never gave him that either.

    Thank You!

  10. Could you please help me with few questions. I'm planing to go on the Breakaway in October (15 days). I've never cruise with Norwegian before so I would like to know some things beforehand.

    1. We are not a "picky" people, we cruise for ports. Anyway, is the free dining option ok? Or do we need to consider specialty restaurants?

    2. We are not heavy drinkers, but would love to have a glass or two of wine in the evening in private on the balcony. Is there a possibility to preorder a whiskey or bottle of wine? May I take anything with me ( wine )?

    3. I'll have a 13 months old with me. I don't want him to drink any tap water, juices (etc) Better safe then sorry. I still plan to breastfeed but how about bottled water? Can we buy several cases before and have them delivered to our stateroom. How does that work.

That's it for now. I'm sure I will have plenty more questions to come ;)

  11. Hi, could you please clarify that for me because I'm lost ;)

I'm looking at Southern Caribbean cruise with my little one - the one that I particularly like is

    9 days Royal Caribbean:

    Day 1: Miami

    Day 2: Cruising

    Day 3: Labadee, Haiti

    Day 4: Cruising

    Day 5: Willemstad, Curacao

    Day 6: Kralendijk, Bonaire

    Day 7: Oranjestad, Aruba

    Day 8: Cruising

    Day 9: Cruising

    Day 10: Miami, Florida

All information I could find about taking a baby on board is that:

"Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. HOWEVER: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days CONSECUTIVE at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour"

When trying to book I got an info: "... must be at least 12 months of age in order to sail on a cruise longer than 3 days at sea."

must be at least 12 months of age in order to sail on a cruise longer than 3 days at sea.

So is it three days total or three days consecutive (which this one is not) ?

Or maybe you know any shorter itineraries to southern Caribbean ? Doesn't really matter what cruise line

    Thanks!

  12. Awesome Video, brought back so many memories! Did this Itinerary two years ago on the Valor and loved it. if you get bored and want to read something, check out my review (link in my signature). Might find it interesting since you did a lot of the same things. Again, thanks for posting!!

I did study yours & pghsteelerfan reviews very carefully before the cruise. Both help me a lot! Thank You for posting them

I love these kinds of videos! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you had a blast! :)

Thank You! I sure did, it was an awesome cruise with amazing ports.

I was booked on the Liberty for Dec. 12 and had to postpone it. Now going on the Fascination in a balcony. Either way, either ship, the ports are intense.

My question is the comment on the Fascination. Have you ever been on that class? I looked at the Liberty and if greasy burgers at 5 guys or ( 2 bars with fancy names)and whatever else they call 2.0 is an attraction go for it. I can have fun on either ship. Do you really think you are getting more by a bigger ship? Liberty is hardly much of an upgrade compared to LARGE/NEWER ships.

If that is the case you should've been on the Adventure of the Seas with ice rinks and beautiful atrium's.

I don't really complain much, and don't care a lot about ships - more about ports, but long story short - I was on Fascination in Feb out of Jacksonville and I didn't like a lot about it. We had an oceanview room which was half the size of the same room on conquest class. The restroom was very, very smelly, I mean it was hard to spend there more then 3 minutes. It was disgusting. They "tried" to fix it, for couple days with no luck. Overall I think like other ships were much, much cleaner.

As we booked last minute we were wait-listed and got "your time dining". Two of of 5 nights the hostesses totally forgot about us ( and several other people) They gave us beepers, send us to the library and I guess discard the waiting list.

Small things, but lack of hair dryer or fridge in a room is a big minus.

We had amazing staff on our previous cruises, but here I felt like they hated their job, nobody cared, no one was smiling.

I really hope your experience will be much better then mine.

  13. A quick video from Puerto Rico and Southern Caribbean cruise aboard carnival Liberty (Jan 17-24).

I loved the itinerary and would go back in a heartbeat ( but not on Fascination though ;) )

    Our Excursions:

St. Thomas - we rented a car and drove around the island with stops at Paradise Point, Mountain Top, Drake Seat, Coki and Shappire Beach.

    Barbados - Boatyard

St. Lucia - Spencer Ambrose Land, Sea & Beach Adventure - I highly recommend it

St. Kitts - - I really haven't planned anything beforehand so we went with Beulah Mills (Welcome Tours). Really interesting and definitely worth the price.

St. Martin - we took a bus to Maho Beach

    Puerto Rico:

Toro Verde - Awesome zipelines and great crew.

El Yunque - definitely worth a visit but I would recommend to go really early in the morning to beat the crowds.

I really wanted to do the Biobay - that was the main reason I wanted to go to PR and it was the first thing I booked (choosing the darkest night of the month) but unfortunately I got a call that there is not much glow just couple sparks here and there, so we passed on it this time.

  14. I tried to find some information in older post but I couldn't find anything (Websites, links didnt work, places went out of business etc )

I'll be in Jacksonville in about two weeks ( Jan 8-13 ), we have an oversize pick up and at the Cruise Terminal we would have to pay $30/day.

That's a lot of money, so I'm really hoping to find something cheaper.

I was reading about the "sand lot" across the street from the terminal but could not find any current information or prices.

The only other lot with a shuttle I found is Wallypark, did anybody use them or have any other ideas where can we park for less then $100

    Thank You!

  15. Have any of you done this recently? I had an reservation with GlassBottomPR but they called that there is not much glow to see and they can make a refund or do discounted kayaking tour.

    Is it still worth doing?
