We used Best Western Premier airport. They had a free shuttle from the airport and a $10 shuttle to the cruise port.

Motion sick husband has put plans off. Now I am a wandering solo. Lol

Now in Miami. So much nicer weather than Toronto. :)

MSC Divina was my first cruise in 2014. The ship was nice but I was not impressed with the service. Hotdogs, hamburgers and fries on the buffet, packed like a fast food joint, just set the mood. Slow bar service. Room service was good the entertainment was enjoyable.

We fly in on Friday. Last year our group of 10 adults and 2 kids did select on Connie, so if you really want to, you could with a bit of organizing each day.
-
Less than 3 weeks now. How do you deal with dining options (we are select). I have only cruised with friends before, so always had a full table of people we know. This is our first solo one.

I went online and can book dinner at QSine for March 5 cruise. As far as I know, the Ultimate Dining is only available to purchase once onboard and in limited quantity.
-
OBC. On Board Credit.
-
I checked into upgrading from C2 to A1 just last week for my March 5 cruise. My TA checked and told me I would have to pay the difference between what I paid originally for my C2 and the current A1 price, and not keep my 123go. It was not a good deal at all.
If you get a good deal, please let us know.

Oops. Yes, I was thinking cruise critic. Sorry. In the words of Emily Litella, Nevermind.
-
My guess is what we know as OBC-R will act like gift cards. You can't cash out what isn't used but you can carry it over to another cruise. You used to be able to use a gift card to buy something small and they give you the rest in cash, they don't do that much anymore. As a Canadian, We get to purchase OBC at a cheaper rate than just getting US DOLLARS. Maybe too many people were buying lots of OBC, cashing out, paying the 5% and still getting a deal.
Again, no proof or written anywhere, just my thoughts.

It's one of the Announcement links at the top of the Celebrity forum.
-
Online, it still says you can take the purchased ones out at the casino, with 5 % charge. So, if purchased online, it says clearly what you can do. Says nothing about credit back to card.
-
If it's the iPhone app, it's down til February 7th, I think.
-
As long as the portion is not mini / gourmet, then maybe he will be fine. I have just seen pictures and know he would wonder where 'the rest' is. :)
Thanks for all the info.

My husband is a meat and potatos kind of guy. I know in MDR, if he wants more, just order but what about specialty ones. I want to have at least one visit to them. Is it the same for the specialty (Tuscan or Murano)?
Thanks.

Thanks Richard
I checked and because I got such a good deal onboard last year, it didn't work out to be a good deal to change. I did change my C2 cabin to a hump one with balcony that came open while my TA was checking for me. So, I am happy. And who knows, they might come to me with an offer later.
-
Well, that answers that question quickly. I guess I am staying where I am.
Thanks.

Okay, I have a C2 booked In a good location under the 123GO campaign last year. Found a nice A1 available in a really nice spot. If I try to upgrade, do I end up paying the difference in the cabin price of now or from what I got mine for originally? The C2 cost $1000 pp more now than when I booked.

Welcome DFW214
Hope to see you onboard.

We are still going in March but paid last February. Lots of onboard credit and had some US cash ahead of time. So this one is good but probably not going again, for a while.
-
Congrats on the upgrade. That's great.

Hey,
We have not done much planning beyond booking our rooms for the cruise and coordinating dinner time, lol. My buddy's (who was also my best man) birthday was actually last week but he could not convince his other friends to travel so close to the holidays.
Let me know if you come up with any ideas. I may steal them and share with our group. [emoji4]
Are you traveling with a group? Or just the two of you?

We are solo this trip. It should be interesting. I am a night person and my Al is an early to bed guy. If I come up with any ideas, will pass them on. We have a bunch of OBC so going to do a specialty restaurant at least once.
qsine on the summit, party of 2, worth it?

We did QSine on Reflection this year. We quite enjoyed it eating 6 of our 7 choices. As we ate, the waiter returned to see how we were progressing and if we would make it thru all. We dropped one so we could have dessert.
