  1. While not a dolphin excursion, we (my 15yo daughter and her 15yo best friend and my wife) will be going on a snorkel with the stingrays in Coco Cay and it is only around $40 each. Just another similar option that might be a bit less expensive.

If you would like, I am sure my daughter would be happy to be in contact with your daughter before the cruise so they could meet up. If you want we can get them into contact. Let me know. There is a Facebook group for this cruise, just search for "Grandeur of the Seas June 9, 2016" in Facebook Groups and you can PM me from there as I do not think the feature works in Cruise Critic. Just ask to join the group and you can then contact me privately. Chris S.

  2. Thank you, that is a very good idea! On the afternoon we get there, we are planning on getting the ferry over to Hamilton and the bus back due to the timing of the last ferry back to the Dockyard being quite early on a Saturday evening. We can easily buy the tokens in Hamilton as well.

  3. The more I look at our itinerary the more I see that it is quite poor! I am on Grandeur arriving at the Dockyards on Saturday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Our plan for Day 2 is as follows and I was wondering for people familiar with Bermuda if it makes sense. The #7 bus does not start running from the Dockyards on a Sunday morning until 10:50am and that is too late!

Our group: my wife and I and 2 teenage girls.

Goal: Enjoy some beach time, explore the coastline and do some geocaching on the way

    The Plan:

    • Hire a taxi to take us to Warwick Long Bay. Assuming it will cost ~$70 on a Sunday due to the 25% Sunday supplement???
    • Spend time at Warwick beach and start hiking towards Horseshoe Bay stopping at the coves along the way
    • Find some geocaches along the way
    • Catch the #7 bus at Horseshoe Bay back to the ship $4/per person exact change in coins.

I guess my question is, if we leave the ship at 9:00am will we have enough time to do this? The girls will want to spend time at some of the beaches to swim and catch some rays. I am sure we will want to be back at the ship no later than 2pm so we will need to be waiting for the bus by 1:00pm at the latest. How crowded are the buses? Is it possible the bus will be too full to get on? Are there taxis available at Horseshoe Bay in case we cannot get on the bus? Thanks in advance!
